GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. 24-1 It is not the intent of either party hereto to violate any laws of the State of Nevada or of the United States. The parties agree that in the event any provision of this Agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be in contravention of any such laws, they will enter into immediate negotiations thereon. The remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. If any Article or Section of this Agreement should be held invalid by operation of law or by any tribunal of competent jurisdiction, or if compliance with or enforcement of any Article or Section should be restrained by such tribunal pending a final determination as to its validity, the remainder of this Agreement or the application of such Article or Section to persons or circumstances other than those as to which it has been held invalid or as to which compliance with or enforcement of has been restrained, shall not be affected thereby. In the event that any Article or Section is held invalid or enforcement of or compliance with any Article or Section has been restrained, as above set forth, the affected parties shall meet at the request of the Union, for the purpose of arriving at a mutually satisfactory replacement for such Article or Section during the period of invalidity or restraint. If the parties do not agree on a mutually satisfactory replacement within sixty(60) days after the beginning of the period of invalidity or restraint, either party shall be permitted all legal or economic recourse in support of its demands notwithstanding any provision in this Agreement to the contrary.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. Any provisions in this Agreement which are in contravention of any federal, state, local or county regulation or laws affecting all or part of the limits covered by this Agreement shall be suspended in operation within the limits to which such law or regulation is applicable for the period during which such law or regulation is in effect. Such suspension shall not affect the operation of any such provisions covered by this Agreement to which the law or regulation is not applicable. Nor shall it affect the operations of the remainder of the provisions of the Agreement within the limits to which such law or regulations are applicable. The Employer and the Unions agree that if and when any provision of this Agreement is held or determined to be illegal or void, they will then promptly enter into lawful negotiations concerning those provisions.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. Section 1. Any provision contained herein that is contrary to or held in violation of the Labor-Management Relations Act of 1947, as amended, or of any other law now in force or hereafter enacted, or, hereafter becoming effective, shall be void and of no force or effect, and this Agreement shall be construed as if said void provision herein were not a part thereof, it being intended, however, that the other provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected thereby. It is further agreed that, should compliance with any law or amendment therefore, or any order or regulation issued thereunder, now or hereafter in force and effect, prohibit the carrying out of any of the provisions of this Agreement, then to the extent of such deviation or prohibition, this Agreement shall be deemed to have been automatically amended effective on the effective date of such law, order or regulations. Such amendment to this Agreement shall remain in effect only so long as said law, amendment, order or regulation continues in force or until the expiration of this Agreement, whichever event shall first occur.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. 25-1 If any provision of this Agreement or any application thereof to any administrator or group of administrators is found contrary to law, then such provision or application will be invalid and will remain in effect only to the extent permitted by law; however, all other provisions or applications will continue in full force and effect.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. 1. Any provisions in this Agreement which are in contravention of any Federal, State, Local or County regulations or laws affecting all or part of the limits covered by this Agreement shall be suspended in operation within the limits to which such laws or regulations are in effect. Such suspension shall not affect the operation of any such provisions covered by this Agreement to which the law or regulation is not applicable, nor shall it affect the operations of the remainder of the provisions of the Agreement within the limits to which such law or regulation is applicable.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. It is not the intent of either party hereto to violate any laws, rulings, or regulations of any governmental authority or agency having jurisdiction of the subject matter of this Agreement. The parties hereto agree that in the event that any provisions of this Agreement are finally held or determined to be illegal or void as being in contravention of any such laws, rulings or regulations, nevertheless the remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect, unless the parts so found to be void are wholly inseparable from the remaining portion of this Agreement. In that event, the parties hereto will promptly enter into lawful negotiations concerning the substance thereof.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. 1. Any provisions in this Agreement which are in contravention of any federal, state, local or county regulation or laws affecting all or part of the limits covered by this Agreement shall be suspended in operation within the limits to which such law or regulation is in effect. Such suspension shall not affect the operation of any such provisions covered by this Agreement, to which the law or regulation is not applicable. Nor shall it affect the operations of the remainder of the provisions of the Agreement within the limits to which such law or regulation is applicable.
2. It is mutually agreed by the parties hereto that if any liability by signatory International Unions to this Agreement should arise, such liability shall be several and not joint.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. It is not the intent of either party hereto to violate any laws, rulings or regulations, of any governmental authority or agency having jurisdiction of the subject matter of this Agreement; and the parties agree that, in the event that any provisions of the Agreement are finally held or determined to be illegal or void as being in contravention of such laws, rulings or regulations, nevertheless, the remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect unless the parts so found to be void are fully inseparable from the remaining portion of this Agreement. The parties agree that, if and when any provisions of this Agreement are held determined to be illegal or void, they will then promptly enter into lawful negotiations concerning the substance thereof.
GENERAL SAVINGS CLAUSE. 21.1 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, nothing in this Contract is intended, and nothing herein should be interpreted or construed, to induce or require either Party hereto to act in any manner (including failing to take any actions in connection with a transaction) which is inconsistent with, penalized or prohibited under any laws of the United Kingdom which relate to foreign trade controls, export controls, embargoes or international boycotts of any type.
