Individual Supported Employment definition

Individual Supported Employment means services including ongoing supports needed by an individual to acquire and maintain a job in the integrated workforce at or above the state’s minimum wage. The outcome of this service is sustained paid employment that meets personal and career goals.
Individual Supported Employment or “IE”: services are a part of an individual’s pathway to employment and are tailored to individual needs, interests, and abilities, and promote career development. These are individualized services necessary to help persons with developmental disabilities obtain and continue integrated employment at or above the state’s minimum wage in the general workforce. These services may include intake, discovery, assessment, job preparation, job marketing, job supports, record keeping and support to maintain a job.

More Definitions of Individual Supported Employment

Individual Supported Employment as defined in OAR Chapter 411, division 345, means an individual job in a competitive integrated employment setting in the general workforce that is compensated at or above the State minimum wage, including customized or self- employment.
