Period of Military Duty means, for an Employee
Period of Military Duty means, for an Employee who (a) served as a member of the armed forces of the United States; and (b) was re-employed by an Employer at a time when the Employee had a right to re-employment in accordance with seniority rights as protected under Section 2021 through 2026 of Title 38 of the U. S. Code, the period of time from the date an Employee was first absent from active work for an Employer because of such military duty to the date the Employee was re-employed.
Period of Military Duty means, for a military Employee, the period of time from the date the Employee was first absent from active work for the Employer because of military duty to the date the Employee was re-employed. For this purpose a military Employee is an Employee who: (a) served as a member of the armed forces of the United States, and (b) was re-employed by the Employer at a time when the Employee had a right to reemployment in accordance with seniority rights as protected under Chapter 43 of Title 38 of the U.S. Code.

Period of Military Duty means a Leave of Absence granted to a Member whose employment is interrupted because of compulsory service (or voluntary service in anticipation of compulsory service or during a period of national emergency or war declared by the appropriate governmental agency) in the armed forces (or other agencies in lieu thereof) of the United States.‌

  • Military service means honorably serving on federal active duty, state active duty, or national guard duty, as defined in Iowa Code section 29A.1; in the military services of other states, as provided in 10 U.S.C. Section 101(c); or in the organized reserves of the United States, as provided in 10 U.S.C. Section 10101.

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.

  • Qualified Military Service means any service in the uniformed services (as defined in chapter 43 of title 38, United States Code) by any individual if such individual is entitled to reemployment rights under such chapter with respect to such service and to the Employer.

For purposes of benefit accrual, a Participant's whole year Periods of Service is equal to the sum of all full and partial periods of service, whether or not such service is continuous or contiguous, expressed in the number of whole years represented by such sum. For this purpose, fractional periods of a year will be expressed in terms of days.

  • Active duty means full-time duty status in the active, uniformed services of the United States, including without limitation members of The National Guard and Reserve on active duty orders under 10 U.S.C. §§ 1209 and 1210.

  • Continuous period of creditable coverage means the period during which an individual was covered by creditable coverage, if during the period of the coverage the individual had no breaks in coverage greater than sixty-three (63) days.

  • Serviced Duty means all duties and obligations of the Sellers in a Corporate Trust Capacity under the Serviced Corporate Trust Contract related to each Serviced Appointment, in each case, other than any Retained Duty.

However, the term does include non-nuclear components of nuclear devices, managed under DOE's nuclear weapons program after all required sanitization operations under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, have been completed.

  • Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a Leave of Absence by a full-time student Dependent at a postsecondary educational institution that:

  • Children of military families means: a school-aged child(ren), enrolled in Kindergarten through Twelfth (12th) grade, in the household of an active duty member.

  • Period of Maintenance means the specified period of maintenance from the date of completion of the works, as certified by the Engineer.
