Protected Areas definition

Protected Areas means all areas inside the boundaries of Connecticut which are adjacent to and within six hundred and sixty feet of the edge of the right-of-way of all portions of the interstate system, federal-aid primary and other limited access state highways. Where a portion of any of the above highways terminates at a state boundary which is not perpendicular or normal to the centerline of the highway “protected areas” also means all areas inside the boundary of Connecticut which are within six hundred and sixty feet of the edge of the right-of-way of any of the above highways in the adjoining state.

Protected Areas means areas designated as requiring special protection under specific Community legislation for the protection of their surface water and groundwater or for the conservation of habitats and species of European sites directly dependant on water and listed in the register established by the Agency in accordance with Article 8 of the Water Policy Regulations;

Protected Areas means all property in Miami-Dade County within >>600<< [[six hundred (600)]] feet of the right-of-way of any expressway right-of-way [[provided that directional signs and semaphore signs may be located on any portion of a shopping center which is approved as a development of regional impact pursuant to section 380.06, Florida Statutes, or which has received a binding letter of vested rights from the State of Florida issued prior to January 1, 1980, exempting it from development of regional impact

More Definitions of Protected Areas

Protected Areas means a protected area as defined in Section 1 of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, 2003 (Act 57 of 2003);

Protected Areas means areas as notified under the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (53 of 1972) and its subsequent amendments, from time to time;

Protected Areas means a portion of land or a habitation specially destined to the protection and maintenance of biological diversity or of natural and cultural resources, to be protected by specific means, whether legal or other (IUCN 1994).

Protected Areas or “PAs” mean the areas so designated by the Recipient’s Forest and Nature Conservation Act of 1995, and including a defined geographical space, recognized, dedicated and managed through legal or other effective means to achieve the long term conservation of nature with associated ecosystem services and cultural values, as such designation may be revised from time to time by the Recipient.

Protected Areas means all areas in- side the boundaries of a State which are adjacent to and within 660 feet of the edge of the right-of-way of all con-23 CFR Ch. Where a con- trolled portion of the Interstate Sys- tem terminates at a State boundary which is not perpendicular or normal to the centerline of the highway, pro- tected areas also means all areas inside the boundary of such State which are within 660 feet of the edge of the right- of-way of the Interstate Highway in the adjoining State.

Protected Areas means Marine Protected Areas (MPA).
