Public Service Facility definition

Public Service Facility means the erection, construction, alteration, operation or maintenance of buildings, power plants or substations, water treatment plants or pumping stations, sewage or pumping plants and other similar public service structures by a public utility, by a railroad whether publicly or privately owned, or by a municipal or other governmental agency, including the furnishing of electrical gas, rail transport, communication, public water and sewage services.

Public Service Facility means any facility and its related premises, property, or equipment used to provide governmental services to the public including, but not limited to:

Public Service Facility means a facility that is a covered entity or opt-in covered entity (i) owned by a local government as defined in Government Code section 53720(a) or (ii) supplying steam under an existing agreement to a facility meeting the definition of an educational facility pursuant to Education Code section 94110(e) excluding facilities owned or operated by an electrical distribution utility, that provides steam and chilled water solely to buildings and facilities owned by the local government or to a publicly-owed education facility, and may also provide electricity to its own facilities or for sale to an electrical distribution utility.

Public Service Facility means a facility for supplying some commodity (e.g., water, electricity), or some service to any or all members of a community (e.g., communications), also a facility for rendering a service in the public interest (e.g., a sanitary or storm water drainage system).

Public Service Facility means: a facility that is a covered entity or opt-in covered entity owned by a local government as defined in Government Code section 53720(a) that provides steam or chilled water to buildings and facilities owned by the local government, and may also provide steam or electricity to other buildings or to an electrical distribution utility other than the local government; or a covered entity that provides steam or chilled water to a publicly owned university that is an educational facility pursuant to Education Code section 94110(e). Facilities operated by electrical distribution utilities are excluded from this definition.

Public Service Facility means all privately, publicly or cooperatively owned lines, facilities and systems for producing, transmitting or distributing communications, cable television, power, electricity, light, heat, gas, oil, crude products, water, steam, waste, storm water not connected with highway drainage and any other similar commodities, including fire and police signal systems and street lighting systems which directly or indirectly serve the public.

Public Service Facility means a publicly-owned repair, storage or production facility or public works yard.

Public Service Facility means a bridge, a roadway or ramp that supports the bridge, and any other equipment, building, structure, parking area, appurtenance, or other real or personal property necessary or desirable for and any future construction to replace a bridge, the roadway or ramp that supports the bridge, and any other equipment, building, structure, parking area, appurtenance, or other real or personal property that is necessary for the bridge.

Public Service Facility means a facility that is a covered entity or opt-in covered entity owned by a local government as defined in Government Code section 53720(a), excluding facilities owned or operated by an electrical distribution utility, that provides steam and chilled water solely to buildings and facilities owned by the local government, and may also provide electricity to its own facilities or for sale to an electrical distribution utility.
