RELIGIOUS LEAVE definition

RELIGIOUS LEAVE. A leave of absence without loss of pay up to three (3) days in any one (1) school year will be granted for time necessarily and actually lost for observance of major religious holidays of the religious faith to which a member belongs, when such holiday(s) falls on a day(s) on which members are required to report. Notification by a member of their intention to take such leave shall be made to the member's principal or immediate supervisor at the start of the school year in which the leave is to be taken.
