A Full. Time employee who is absent from work for part of their scheduled day because of sickness shall be paid as follows:
A Full. Time Employee who wishes to take the above-noted cultural/religious float days shall apply to their supervisor for such time off at least four (4) weeks in advance unless the Employee applying with shorter advance notice is able to find a suitable replacement for his/her shift without overtime being incurred. The supervisor may restrict the number of approvals given for some cultural/religious holidays due to the need to maintain adequate service. Where this is necessary, the decision will be based on Employee’s seniority, and the supervisor will provide the Employee whose day is not approved with an alternate day off.
A Full. Time Employee is employed to work either a full-time week of 38 hours or an average of 38 hours per week over a four-week period.
A Full time employee shall refer to an individual occupying a position at Mount Royal University position and who works on an established schedule of not less than 35 hours per week.
A Full time employee who is entitled to a leave of absence without pay for a period in excess of ten
A Full. Time employee due to retire shall be allowed to take a Leave of Absence with pay equal to one-half (½) of the employee’s accumulated sick leave, not to exceed one hundred and thirty-one (131) days, prior to the employee retirement date.
A Full. Time Employees will be entitled to 2% of their gross salary earnings, from previous reference year or forty (40) hours of their normal wages, whichever is greater.
A Full. Time and Senior Part-Time employee shall be granted, in the event of the death of his spouse, common-law spouse, same-sex spouse, son or daughter, bereavement leave with pay from any of his scheduled tours of duty that occur during the seven (7) calendar days, immediately following the day of the death up to five (5) paid days.
A Full. Time and Senior Part-Time employee shall be granted, in the event of the death of his father, mother, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law (including parents of same-sex spouses), grandchild, grandmother, grandfather, or any relative residing in the same permanent residence as does the employee, a bereavement leave with pay from his scheduled tours of duty for the three (3) calendar days immediately following the day of the death.
A Full t ime Employee seeking to take time off for the Funeral of a non-relative may do so only with his/her supervisor’s approval, using PTO (or other available paid time off).
