ADDITIONAL LEAVE FLEXIBILITIES. 20.1 This clause is to be read in conjunction with Clause 22 - Annual Leave and Loading of Schedule 1 and Clause 22 - Long Service Leave of the Agreement. 20.2 Capacity to cash out annual leave a) Subject to 25.2(b) the Employer and Employee may agree that the Employee forego part of their entitlement to annual leave in exchange for equivalent payment at the rate which would have applied had leave been taken. The payment is to include annual leave loading. b) The following criteria apply to the cashing out on annual leave: i) the Employer agrees in writing to a request by an Employee to cash out annual leave; ii) there is an annual leave entitlement that has accrued in previous years and is overdue to be taken; iii) no more than 50% of any year's annual leave entitlement can be cashed out; and
ADDITIONAL LEAVE FLEXIBILITIES. Long service leave 9.1 An employee shall be entitled to receive the allowances as provided by clause 7Commuted Allowance of this agreement during any period of long service leave as provided by Clause 25 - Long Service Leave of the Award.

  • Additional Leave Any further leave granted beyond the normal thirty-seven (37) week period, or the forty-two (42) week period for special circumstances, will be unpaid leave without benefits.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part-time Nurses who are elected to the College of Nurses to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Nurses who are elected to the RNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Practical Nurses who are elected to the RPNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings.

  • Personal Leave Days Section 1. All employees after completion of six (6) months of service shall be entitled to receive personal leave days in the following manner: (A) All full time employees shall be entitled to twenty-four (24) hours of personal leave with pay each fiscal year; (B) Part-time, seasonal, and job share employees shall be granted such leave in a prorated amount of twenty-four (24) hours based on the same percentage or fraction of month they are hired to work, or as subsequently formally modified, provided it is anticipated that they will work 1,040 hours during the fiscal year; Section 2. Should any employee fail to work 1,040 hours for the fiscal year, the value of personal leave time used may be recovered from the employee. Section 3. Personal leave shall not be cumulative from year to year nor is any unused leave compensable in any other manner. Section 4. Such leave may be used by an employee for any purpose he/she desires and may be taken at times mutually agreeable to the university and the employee.

  • Educational Leave of Absence Leaves of absence may be granted up to six (6) months under the above provisions only if the course would be beneficial to both the University and the employee.

  • TERMINAL LEAVE Any employee who is separated from State service for any reason including layoff shall receive within seven (7) days a lump sum payment for the number of hours of accrued annual leave at the employee's annualized hourly rate of pay.

  • Personal Leave Without Pay Leave of absence without pay may be granted by the College for legitimate personal reasons.

  • No Layoff to Compensate for Overtime Employees shall not be required to layoff during regular hours to equalize any overtime worked.
