Additional Time Off at Christmas and New Year's Holidays. When Christmas falls on Friday and Boxing Day on Saturday, an additional half (0.5) holiday will be granted employees on the preceding Thursday. When Christmas falls on Saturday and Boxing Day on Monday, an additional half (0.5) holiday will be granted employees on the preceding Friday. When Christmas falls on Wednesday, the Friday following Boxing Day shall be granted as an additional (1) holiday. When New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, an additional (1) holiday shall be granted on either the preceding Friday or the following Monday. Those regular part-time employees whose regular scheduled day of work falls on the holidays referenced above shall be granted the time off and compensated at a rate equal to their normal daily earnings.

Additional Time Off at Christmas and New Year's Holidays. In the event that Christmas falls on a Friday, Boxing Day will be observed on the preceding Thursday (December 24th) In the event that Christmas falls on a Saturday, Christmas Day will be observed on the preceding Friday (December 24th) and Boxing Day will be observed on the following Monday (December 27th) and effective October 1, 2011 – New Year’s Day will be observed on the following Monday (January 3rd). In the event that Christmas falls on a Sunday, Christmas Day will be observed on the following Monday (December 26th) and Boxing Day will be observed on the following Tuesday (December 27th), and New Year’s Day will be observed on the following Monday (January 2nd).

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

(c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave During the Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays and sick leave in accordance with the Company's standard policies for its senior executive officers.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an Employee's vacation period, she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Employee.

  • Work on Holidays An employee who is required to work, or works with prior approval, any part of a holiday shall receive holiday compensatory time for up to eight (8) hours, on an hour for hour basis, for the actual non-overtime hours worked in addition to their regular rate of pay. An employee who works overtime on a holiday shall be compensated in accordance with all applicable pay and overtime provisions. An employee must use holiday compensatory time within one (1) year after having accrued that time.

  • Personal Time Off Executive shall be entitled to paid time off in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to executives.

  • Christmas Day Melbourne Cup Day (or alternative days in regional areas);

  • Overtime Holidays Double time the regular rate for work on the following holiday(s). New Year's Day

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential and Cost of Living Adjustment, if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.
