SPECIAL TIME OFF. 9.1 Additional Time Off at Christmas and New Year's Holidays When Christmas falls on Friday and Boxing Day on Saturday, an additional half holiday will be granted employees on the preceding Thursday. When Christmas falls on Saturday and Boxing Day on Monday, an additional half holiday will be granted employees on the preceding Friday. When Christmas falls on Wednesday, the Friday following Boxing Day shall be granted as an additional holiday. When New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, an additional holiday shall be granted on either the preceding Friday or the following Monday. Those regular part-time employees whose regular scheduled day of work falls on the holidays referenced above shall be granted the time off and compensated at a rate equal to their normal daily earnings.
