Advanced Certification Clause Samples
The Advanced Certification clause establishes requirements for a party to provide a higher level of assurance or proof regarding compliance with specific contractual obligations. Typically, this involves submitting detailed documentation, third-party attestations, or meeting enhanced standards beyond basic certification. By requiring advanced certification, the clause helps ensure that the party is fully qualified and compliant, thereby reducing risk and increasing confidence in performance or product quality.
Advanced Certification. Employees may ask their leaders to preapprove the application, testing fees and material costs associated with advanced certification that applies to their modality. The employee will be reimbursed for preapproved programs, including those currently in progress.
Advanced Certification. (Unit #3) For the position of Utility Area Superintendent, the COUNTY will pay for the periodic certification(s) renewal when the employee has achieved a higher level of certification than the minimum level required to qualify for the position. It is understood between the parties that holding a higher certification than the minimum required for the position does not qualify the employee for compensation for working above class. It is further understood that the COUNTY is not obligated to provide funds to cover the cost of any training or education requirements necessary to achieve or maintain the certifications. (Unit #5) For the positions of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators I/II/III and Hazardous Materials Specialist II, the COUNTY will pay for the periodic certification(s) renewal when the employee has achieved a higher level of certification than the minimum level required to qualify for the position. It is understood between the parties that holding higher certification than the minimum required for the position does not qualify the employee for compensation for working above class. It is further understood that the COUNTY is not obligated to provide funds to cover the cost of any training or education requirements necessary to achieve or maintain the certifications.
Advanced Certification. Caregivers may ask their leaders to preapprove the 13 application, testing fees and material costs associated with advanced 14 certification that applies to their position. The caregiver will be reimbursed for 15 preapproved programs.
Advanced Certification. To assist with the goal of having a highly trained workforce, the District will participate with the employees to gain advanced certification. The District will cover up to $1,000 of the course fee and up to $500 for course books per employee, per year to complete advanced certification as a Class A Water Operator, Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Pipefitter, or other certifications as preapproved by the General Manager. Courses for the stated certifications through JALC, SIUE/ERTC and IBEW are preapproved. Course work will be on the employee’s time unless preapproved by the General Manager. The employee must repay the amount paid toward the course fee and books upon the failure to complete the course successfully, within a reasonable period for that course, or upon termination of employment with the District if the course has not been successfully been completed at that time. The amount to be repaid will be withheld from the employee’s final paycheck.
Advanced Certification. Add the following as Section F to Article 1:
Advanced Certification. 1. Upon presentation of satisfactory evidence of the certification, a full-time EMPLOYEE who has successfully completed their initial probationary period required at the time the EMPLOYEE was hired or rehired by the DISTRICT, and/or possesses any one of the following certifications shall receive, in addition to his/her other earnings, incentive pay equivalent to one and one half percent (1.5%) of the EMPLOYEE’S bi- weekly base wage per bi-weekly pay period:
a. Hazardous Materials Technician

c. Confined Space Rescue Technician
d. High Angle Rope Rescue Technician
e. Structural Collapse Technician
f. Fire Service Instructor g. EMS Instructor
Advanced Certification. 1.
