Advancement on Compensation Schedule. During the term of this Agreement a faculty member will advance in the column for which they are qualified one step for each complete year of service until they reach the maximum step for their column on the compensation schedule contingent upon satisfactory performance. Unsatisfactory performance will result in a frozen step placement or a recommendation to the Board of Trustees under Article XI that the faculty member be dismissed.
Advancement on Compensation Schedule. For purposes of advancement on the Compensation Schedule, a full-time tenured educator who shall be employed one hundred (100) days or more shall be entitled to advance as though the entire year had been completed. For purposes of advancement on the Compensation Schedule, part-time educators who are employed as of November 1st of the school year will advance every other year of continued employment and their base salary will be prorated according to the PTE (Part Time Equivalency).

Advancement on Compensation Schedule. Vertical The annual increments indicated on the compensation schedule are not automatic but are for superior teaching service, contributions to the advancement of the school system, development of teaching methods and procedures, and increased professional stature. When such services, actions, growth, and performance, as mentioned, of any teacher are not satisfactory, there shall be no obligation on the part of the Board to comply with or pay the increment involved for the next succeeding year or years.
