Archeological Survey. The Consultant will conduct a file search and Class III inventory for the 100-acre GA development area. Prior to the Class III inventory, the Consultant will conduct a file search through the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation’s online Compass database. A preliminary review of the project area indicates there are no previously recorded sites in the parcel. One archaeologist will inventory the planned 100-acre block area, with transects spaced no more than 20 meters apart. The survey will follow established standards for Class III inventories in Colorado. Areas of steep terrain (greater than 35 percent slope) will be visually inspected, but not surveyed. When cultural material is found, Alpine’s archaeologists will closely inspect the area around the discovery to determine if Yampa Valley Regional Airport GA Development Area Analysis Scope of Services December 2021 a site or isolated find is present. The resource will be fully documented on the appropriate Cultural Resource Site Forms and its location recorded with a GPS unit capable of submeter accuracy. Upon completion of fieldwork, Alpine will prepare a Class III inventory report that details the findings of the survey. The report will be accompanied by project area maps and completed site forms. The report will be submitted digitally to the SHPO and tribal groups for review. Assumptions: • Up to 100 acres will be surveyed • 2 sites and 2 isolated finds will be found. This includes the standing structure and the structures shown on the USGS topographic map • Fieldwork will take a one-person crew three days to complete • If site density is higher than budgeted, we may need a cost modification to cover the additional time and effort to record and report on these resources.

Archeological Survey. A. Prior to commencement of any ground-disturbing construction activities associated with the Project, an archaeological field survey (Survey) shall be completed by an archaeologist who meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for historic archaeology (as per 36 CFR § 61), as contracted by the Developer.
Archeological Survey. Archeological Resource Studies and coordination shall be performed following TxDOT’s Environmental Handbook for Archeological Sites and Cemeteries and the appropriate TxDOT Review Standard. An Intensive Archeological Survey as defined in 13 TAC 26.15(6) and 13 TAC 26.25(h) will be performed to satisfy the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and Texas Antiquities Code requirements for determining whether archeological sites are present in the project area of potential effects (APE), and whether test excavations or a higher level of archeological work is needed. A professional archeologist shall prepare a Texas Antiquities Permit application and scope of work for approval by the State and the Texas Historical Commission (THC) prior to conducting the Archeological Survey. The intensive archeological survey shall conform to the THC’s Survey Standards for Texas, which include the excavation of shovel tests as appropriate, throughout the APE to characterize the soils, potential disturbances, and determine whether archeological resources are present and, if so, assess those resources. In addition, if new ROW and/or easements are required within 25-feet of the Pleasant Valley Cemetery adjacent to the existing Xxxxxxx Road ROW, survey methods shall include scraping to a depth adequate to determine whether grave shafts or burials occur in the APE, in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement between TxDOT and the THC (13 TAC 26.25[k][4]). Following the field survey, an Archeological Survey Report shall be prepared for coordination with TxDOT and the THC. The report shall fulfill the reporting requirements for the Texas Antiquities Permit.

  • Geological and Archeological Specimens If, during the execution of the Work, the Contractor, any Subcontractor, or any servant, employee, or agent of either should uncover any valuable material or materials, such as, but not limited to, treasure trove, geological specimens, archival material, archeological specimens, or ore, the Contractor acknowledges that title to the foregoing is vested in the Owner. The Contractor shall notify the Owner upon the discovery of any of the foregoing, shall take reasonable steps to safeguard it, and seek further instruction from the Design Professional. Any additional cost incurred by the Contractor shall be addressed under the provision for changed conditions. The Contractor agrees that the Geological and Water Resources Division and the Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources may inspect the Work at reasonable times.

  • Survey Buyer may obtain a survey of the Property before the Closing to assure that there are no defects, encroachments, overlaps, boundary line or acreage disputes, or other such matters, that would be disclosed by a survey ("Survey Problems"). The cost of the survey shall be paid by the Buyer. Not later than business days prior to the Closing, Buyer shall notify Seller of any Survey Problems which shall be deemed to be a defect in the title to the Property. Seller shall be required to remedy such defects within business days and prior to the Closing. If Seller does not or cannot remedy any such defect(s), Buyer shall have the option of canceling this Agreement, in which case the Xxxxxxx Money shall be returned to Buyer.

  • Geological and archaeological finds It is expressly agreed that mining, geological or archaeological rights do not form part of this Agreement with the Contractor for the Works, and the Contractor hereby acknowledges that it shall not have any mining rights or interest in the underlying minerals, fossils, antiquities, structures or other remnants or things either of particular geological or archaeological interest and that such rights, interest and property on or under the Site shall vest in and belong to the Authority or the concerned Government Instrumentality. The Contractor shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent its workmen or any other person from removing or damaging such interest or property and shall inform the Authority forthwith of the discovery thereof and comply with such instructions as the concerned Government Instrumentality may reasonably give for the removal of such property. For the avoidance of doubt, it is agreed that any reasonable expenses incurred by the Contractor hereunder shall be reimbursed by the Authority. It is also agreed that the Authority shall procure that the instructions hereunder are issued by the concerned Government Instrumentality within a reasonable period.

  • ARCHAEOLOGY Lessee shall not destroy, disturb, mar, collect, remove or alter any prehistoric or historic resources of any kind on Weld County lands as provided by law. These resources include, but are not limited to, all artifacts of stone, wood or metal, pictographs, structures, and bones. A discovery of anything of prehistoric or historic nature shall be reported to Lessor or the State of Colorado Archaeologist immediately.

  • Geotechnical 19 The A/E as required shall review past pavement, soil 20 and geology investigations, discuss past findings as 21 impacting the subject roadway project, and independently 22 perform design-needed geotechnical services including 23 development and implementation of a field investigation plan 24 involving any field data collection as deemed necessary, 25 development of a laboratory testing program to conduct soils 26 surface and subsurface characterization tests as applicable 1 to the needs of the project, development of seismic analysis 2 and design criteria in accordance with code requirements, 3 development of pavement condition studies to provide 4 recommendations concerning life cycle costs and 5 rehabilitation/reconstruction methods, and recommendations 6 for the design of foundations, embankment and excavation 7 procedures, settlement analysis, lateral, active, and passive 8 earth pressures, de-watering, landslide mapping, slope 9 stabilization, soil corrosion, erosion, sedimentation control 10 and other applicable design criteria as deemed necessary.
