ASSIGNMENT OF PUPILS. The Superintendent shall exercise the authority granted under 3319.01 of the Ohio Revised Code in the assignment of pupils. When a parent request is received, the administration will consider the educational aspects of a proposed assignment. All pupil assignments are subject to the approval of the Superintendent or designee.
ASSIGNMENT OF PUPILS. (B) Pupils Students shall be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools, who shall take into account but not be bound by any recommendations of the School Committee, consistent with the Educational Reform Act of 1993, as amended; provided that any time the assignment of students results in more than 10% of the pupils students of the whole school being from out of town, then that reassignment shall require a 7th/8th 7 out of 8 School Committee vote in favor. So called “School Choice” students shall be exempt from this requirement.
ASSIGNMENT OF PUPILS. Upon the closure by Wilkinsburg School District of its middle / high school, in accordance with Section 1607 of the Public School Code, Wilkinsburg School District students in grades seven through twelve shall be assigned by Wilkinsburg School District to attend high school in the Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxxxx Academy, also known as Westinghouse 6-12 School (hereinafter, “Westinghouse”).
ASSIGNMENT OF PUPILS. All pupils in grades designated by the Committee as elementary school grades, which shall at least be grades Kindergarten through Four (4) in both member towns, shall be guaranteed the opportunity to receive their education in facilities that are located in the respective towns in which the pupils reside, except that in the case of children with special needs, the Committee may provide for appropriate arrangements. For the purposes of this provision, the term "children with special needs" shall have the same meaning as the term "school-age child with special needs" as defined in section one of chapter seventy-one B of the General Laws. Any pupil who has been accepted to attend a public school in either member town other than the one in which he resides pursuant to Chapter 76, Section 12, as of the date that the Regional School District is formed shall be permitted to remain in the District until his high school graduation.
ASSIGNMENT OF PUPILS. Each spring the sending teacher shall have input as to the assignment of his/her pupils for the following school year. An attempt will be made to distribute students with social and/or learning problems equitably among the teachers and/or clusters. Specialists serving these students shall have input into the placement decisions.
ASSIGNMENT OF PUPILS. No pupil in any grades kindergarten through four shall be transferred from a school located in the town in which the pupil resides to a school located in any other member town or schools on regional property except upon the affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the Committee.
ASSIGNMENT OF PUPILS. Subject to the provisions of this section 13 and section 14, all pupils in grades Pre-kindergarten through three shall receive their education in facilities that are located in the respective towns in which the pupils reside, except that in the case of children with special needs, the Committee may provide for other appropriate arrangements. For the purposes of this section, the term “children with special needs” shall have the same meaning as the term “school—age child with special needs,” as defined in section one of chapter seventy—one B of the General Laws.
