Bilingual Differential. A differential of five percent (5%) over base rate will be paid to employees required to be proficient and use bilingual skills (i.e., interpretation and translation to and from English to another foreign language). Such skills must be a condition of employment as established by management. The interpretation and translation skills must be assigned and contained in an employee’s individual position’s position description. The decision to assign bilingual duties to an employee is at the sole discretion of management.
