Borrowed Sick Days. Teachers may, during an extended illness or injury, borrow from their own “future” sick leave days (not to exceed twenty-four which equals two years of sick leave) upon the depletion of their accumulated sick leave. These days will be subtracted from the sick leave days they accumulate in the future.

Borrowed Sick Days. Full-time employees (30 or more hours), during an extended illness or injury, borrow from their own “future” sick leave days, not to exceed twenty-four which equals two years of sick leave, upon the depletion of their accumulated sick leave. These days will be subtracted from the sick leave days they accumulate in the future. In the event that an employee who has borrowed future sick leave days leaves the employ of Unit #2 for whatever reason, the sick leave days that the employee has borrowed from future years shall be considered dock days, and the amount of salary for these days shall be deducted from the employee’s final paycheck(s). The Superintendent is responsible for its implementation and recommendation to the Board for its approval. This article will be non-grievable.
Borrowed Sick Days. Teachers may, during an extended illness or injury of themselves or in one’s immediate family or household, borrow from their own “future” sick leave days not to exceed ten (10) days upon the depletion of their accumulated sick leave. These days will be subtracted from the sick leave days they accumulate in the future. Additional days above ten (10) may not be borrowed until the current borrowed days are “paid back” by the advent of a new school year. In the event that a teacher who has borrowed future sick leave days leaves the employ of the school district for whatever reason, the sick leave days that the employee has borrowed from future years shall be considered dock days, and the amount of salary for these days shall be deducted from the employee’s final paycheck(s).   • Sick Days Employees will be provided with 6 sick days per calendar year. Sick days are paid at 75% of the employee’s step rate.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Payments on Non-Business Days Whenever any payment to be made by Borrower hereunder shall be stated to be due on a day which is not a Business Day, payments shall be made on the next succeeding Business Day and such extension of time shall be included in the computation of the payment of interest hereunder and of any fees due under this Agreement, as the case may be.

  • Christmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.

  • Sick Time An employee shall have all of his/her accrued sick leave credits transferred when the employee is transferred to a different State agency.

  • Non-Business Days If an Interest Period would otherwise end on a day which is not a Business Day, that Interest Period will instead end on the next Business Day in that calendar month (if there is one) or the preceding Business Day (if there is not).

  • Payments on Business Days Except as provided pursuant to Section 2.01 pursuant to a Board Resolution, and set forth in an Officer’s Certificate, or established in one or more indentures supplemental to this Indenture, in any case where the date of maturity of interest or principal of any Security or the date of redemption of any Security shall not be a Business Day, then payment of interest or principal (and premium, if any) may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the nominal date of maturity or redemption, and no interest shall accrue for the period after such nominal date.

  • Payments Due on Non-Business Days Anything in this Agreement or the Notes to the contrary notwithstanding, any payment of principal of or Make-Whole Amount or interest on any Note that is due on a date other than a Business Day shall be made on the next succeeding Business Day without including the additional days elapsed in the computation of the interest payable on such next succeeding Business Day.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.

  • Payment on Non-Business Days Whenever any payment to be made shall be due on a day which is not a Business Day, such payment may be due on the next succeeding Business Day.
