BUS DRIVER PHYSICALS. Employees who drive bus shall submit to a physical examination annually as required by the Employer to meet the requirements of bus driver certification. The Employer shall designate one or more doctors and shall bear the cost. If the employee selects his/her own physician, the Board shall pay up to the amount that it pays its physician with the employee being responsible for any additional cost. SECTION 4 - LEAVES
BUS DRIVER PHYSICALS. All employees whose job title is full or part time bus driver must have a physical(s) as required by NYSDOT law, which will be given at the school district’s expense. The physical will be given by a school appointed doctor. If the findings of any physicals violate the guidelines, as determined in Article 19A 6.12, the bus driver will be suspended, with pay, from driving for up to ten (10) days. These ten (10) days shall meet the requirements of Article XII of this contract. If the driver cannot be retested and meet the above mentioned guidelines within thirty (30) days, s/he will be terminated from employment. This language shall not be deemed a waiver of Section 75 Civil Service law should an employee be entitled to it.
BUS DRIVER PHYSICALS. Required physicals for maintaining a school bus endorsement will be paid for by the district when the employee has their endorsement physical performed at the district’s designated provider.
BUS DRIVER PHYSICALS. Each driver must have an annual physical at a healthcare facility provided by the district. The district will cover the cost of the annual examination. If a driver chooses a provider other than that selected by RSU 19, any additional cost above the normal contribution will be borne by the employee. Appointments will be made at a mutually agreeable time to the greatest extent possible.
