Care and Responsibility. Teachers are responsible for all property and equipment entrusted to them and shall exercise reasonable care in their use. Teachers shall not be held responsible for normal wear and tear, nor for loss or destruction of property or equipment in instances where the teacher has not been negligent in discharging his responsibilities.
Care and Responsibility. Licensee agrees to exercise reasonable care in the safeguarding and preservation of all Software at all times. Licensee shall promptly return all Software furnished hereunder to Palm when requested or upon completion or termination of this Agreement except as otherwise set forth in this Agreement. Alternatively, Licensee shall if requested in writing by Palm, destroy all full and partial copies of the Software furnished to Licensee hereunder. Licensee shall also certify in writing to Palm that all such Palm Materials have been returned to Palm or destroyed.
Care and Responsibility. 1. The student is responsible for the general care of the Chromebook that has been issued by the school. A case will be provided by the school and MUST be put on and KEPT on as a preventative measure.
2. Chromebooks that are broken or fail to work properly must be taken to the Media Center, for an evaluation of the equipment.
a. Chromebooks that can be repaired on the spot will be repaired and returned to the student. In some cases a loaner may be issued for the duration of the school day.
b. If the Chromebooks must be sent out for repair a loaner will be provided.
c. Student will not attempt to disassemble any part of his or anyone else’s Chromebook nor will he attempt any repairs.
d. Any cost associated with the repair or replacement of a unit that is due to intentional damage will be the responsibility of the student/family.
3. Screen Care - Do not place anything on your case that could put pressure on the screen, do not lean on the screen at any time. Only use a soft clean cloth to clean the screen. DO NOT USE cleaners of any type.
4. Chromebooks that are lost or stolen must be reported immediately to the Principal Office/Technology Coordinator. If a theft occurred at school or at a school related event or activity please report to your principal. The school will provide a replacement Chromebook and any cost associated with the replacement of the unit will be the responsibility of the student/family.
5. Lost power adapters will be replaced by the school and any cost associated with the replacement will be the responsibility of the student/family.
6. Identification labels have been placed on the Chromebooks. Both the serial number and name stickers on the Chromebook will be used to identify its assigned student in case of loss or theft. These stickers must not be removed or modified. If they become damaged or missing contact the Tech Coordinator for replacements.
7. Any attempt to alter data, the configuration of a Chromebook, or the files of another user, without the consent of the individual, building administrator, or technology administrator, will be considered an act of vandalism and subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the student handbook and other applicable school policies.
8. Chromebooks must remain free of any writing, drawing, stickers or labels that are not the property of Leipsic Local Schools.
