Classified Exempt. Full-Time Students working as Instructional Assistants Playground Supervisors Temporary Classified Employees The Association agrees that this represents the appropriate unit. The District agrees to notify the Association of all newly created job classifications at least five (5) working days prior to forwarding to the Personnel Commission. Upon adoption by the Personnel Commission, the District shall forward to CSEA a copy of the new and/or revised job description(s). The Association shall have the right to seek unit clarification by PERB proceedings on any new titles or any newly created job classifications not specified in the above unit description. Nothing agreed to herein will prevent adjustments to the unit to be made upon mutual agreement of the District and the Association. Disputes concerning the interpretation and application of this Article are not subject to the grievance procedures defined within this contract.

  • Non-Exempt Employees Non-exempt employees shall not be paid for the period of the closure. However, employees shall be allowed to use accrued vacation, compensatory time off, personal leave or approved leave without pay for the absence(s). A non-exempt employee arriving at work after the Employer/Agency has announced a closure or curtailment of operations may be directed to leave work and if so directed shall not be paid for the remainder of the shift unless utilizing accrued leave as described above. An employee who actually begins work shall be entitled to pay for all actual hours worked.

  • Casual Employee A casual employee is one who is employed as a relief or on a replacement basis and is available for call-ins as circumstances demand.

  • FLSA Exempt Employees The exempt employee shall be paid for the work shift. An FLSA exempt employee may be required to use paid leave or leave without pay where the closure applies to that employee for one or more full workweek(s)

  • Seasonal Employees Seasonal employees still on trial service should refer to Article 71, Sections 2 and 3 regarding salary increases.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.

  • Higher Classification (a) In the event a classification review results in a position being reclassified at a higher level, the employee presently filling the position shall, if qualified, be assigned to the position at the higher level at a rate of pay which is equal to or higher than his or her current rate of pay.
