Community volunteering. Volunteering leave is an initiative to encourage staff to participate in volunteer activities in community based non-profit organisations, charitable groups, and groups identified in need of services and assistance. To assist with organisational demands, Staff will be required to discuss with their Supervisor their intentions for accessing volunteer leave. The University will support a continuing Staff Member’s participation in volunteer activities with approved organisations and groups in the community by: (i) providing up to 2 days of paid personal leave each year; (ii) working in collaboration with approved organisations and groups in the community to ensure that volunteering projects are meaningful and productive for both parties.

Macquarie University will support a continuing Staff Member’s participation in volunteer activities with approved organisations and groups in the community by: providing up to 2 days of paid personal leave each year; working in collaboration with approved organisations and groups in the community to ensure that volunteering projects are meaningful and productive for both parties. To assist with organisational demands Staff Members will be required to discuss with their Supervisor their intentions for accessing volunteer leave. Where a Staff Member exhausts their entitlement to either Sick Leave or Other Personal Leave they will be able to access whatever accrual they have available for the other form of Personal Leave. Personal leave must be applied for in accordance with the relevant policies in place from time to time. Staff may access alternative employment arrangements provided for in this Agreement to assist with the management of longer-term family responsibilities.

  • Community Outreach Please describe all community outreach efforts undertaken since the last report.

  • Volunteers The use of volunteers to perform bargaining unit work, as covered by this agreement, shall not be expanded beyond the extent of existing practice as of June 1, 1986. The Hospital shall submit to the Union, at three (3) month intervals, the number of volunteers for the current month and the number of hours worked and the duties performed.

  • Community Involvement The Grantee will facilitate and convene a Community Task Force as one means of developing collaboration among the Grantee, affected residents, and the broader community. The Grantee also will provide information to keep the Community Task Force fully apprised of the planning and implementation of revitalization efforts. The Community Task Force shall be comprised of affected public housing residents, local government officials, service providers, community groups, and others. The Community Task Force will provide advice, counsel and recommendations to the Grantee on all aspects of the HOPE VI development process, including shaping the goals and outcome of the Community and Supportive Services Plan. Community Task Force participants also will disseminate information throughout the community about the Grantee's revitalization efforts. The Grantee's responsibilities with regard to the Community Task Force include: (1) convening and participating in the Community Task Force and other advisory groups; (2) ensuring that regular meetings of the Community Task Force are held to apprise participants of the status of the development process and to solicit comments, opinions, advice, and recommendations on the planning and implementation of the Grantee's revitalization efforts; and (3) if requested by HUD, entering into a memorandum of understanding with the members of the Community Task Force setting forth the manner and frequency of task force meetings, the method (if any) for designating resident and community participants, and the issues that the task force will discuss and develop.

  • Community Service Leave Community service leave is provided for in the NES.

  • Bargaining Unit Information The Employer agrees to provide the Union such information relating to Employees in the bargaining unit as may be required by the Union for the purpose of collective bargaining.
