Other Personal Leave. An unpaid leave may be granted by the Board to a probationary or permanent certificated employee for a compelling personal reason. During this personal leave, the permanent certificated employee may purchase health benefits through the District. Extension of this unpaid leave may be granted by the Board upon request, but such extension shall not exceed one (1) additional school year. 6.9.6.1 No financial burden will be placed upon the District for personal leaves. Scheduled increments, adjustments in salary, tenure, longevity and retirement credit are not allowed for such leaves, except when the leave is to work part-time for the District. 6.9.6.2 The conditions under which an employee may return from a leave for personal business shall be determined by the Board upon the recommendation of the District. 6.9.6.3 No employee, while on leave of absence for personal reasons, should accept regular employment in another school. As a condition of such leave the employee agrees that acceptance of employment in another school district without Board approval shall be deemed a resignation of employment from the District.
Other Personal Leave. An employee may apply for other short-term personal leave without pay. Such leave shall be granted only at the discretion of the Business Manager and the immediate Supervisor. If an extension is granted, it must be applied for using the same process.
Other Personal Leave. .01 A personal leave is considered approved time off for non-medical personal situations. Personal leaves of absence without pay may be granted to Employees after successful completion of their probationary period. The circumstances and conditions of a personal leave request must be stated on the appropriate leave of absence request form. .02 Personal leaves cannot exceed 60 calendar days within a 24 month period. .03 Personal Leaves are not guaranteed and subject to the discretion of the department. Requests for such leave shall not be unreasonably denied. Factors considered in making a decision to approve a Personal Leave may include, but not limited to, the following: the employee’s needs, the needs of the department, staffing levels, the employee’s performance and overall attendance record including prior approved leaves.
Other Personal Leave. Should urgent circumstances arise, employees may request an unpaid leave for personal reasons. All earned vacation time must be taken before any leave begins. Personal leaves are limited to a maximum of thirty (30) days after the full use of vacation time.
Other Personal Leave. At the request of a faculty member or librarian and with the approval of the Department Head and Xxxx or Xxxx of Libraries, the Xxxxxxx may xxxxx partial unpaid leave of up to half of a full-time workload for extenuating personal reasons for a period of up to two years. During this leave the faculty member or librarian will receive a pro-rated salary dependent on the number of courses taught for a faculty member or hours worked for a librarian. Health care coverage and other benefits would remain unchanged during this leave with the exception of the RISD contribution to TIAA-CREF, which would be based on actual salary paid. At the end of the two years, the faculty member or librarian must either return to full-time service or resign or retire from the full-time faculty. This leave may not be requested for more than two years in every ten years of continuous service. The Association President shall be apprised in writing of the nature and duration of all such leave granted under this section at the time the leave is granted.
Other Personal Leave. Requests for personal leaves not specifically covered in this Agreement must be submitted in writing to the Office of Human Resources for consideration and are subject to the approval of the President and the Board of Trustees.

Other Personal Leave. Subd. 1.: Effective July 1, 2010, employees hired before May 10, 2010, may be granted up to two (2) days of personal leave per year, non-accumulative, for situations requiring the employee's personal attention.
