Compassionate Transfer. 9.01 A regular Employee who has worked for thirty (30) years or who has attained the age of fifty five (55), and who is unable to carry out the full duties and responsibilities of their job (and has had their condition substantiated by an independent medical practitioner) may be transferred to other work they are capable of performing, if available, and will remain at their pre-transfer rate (red-circled). This will remain in effect until such time the Employee attains their retirement age eligibility as defined by O.M.E.R.S.

Compassionate Transfer. Unit employees have the right to request special consideration for a transfer for personal reasons/conditions which may warrant relocation. The request must accompany the initial transfer application and shall include proper supportive documentation. The documentation shall include, but is not limited to, a state- ment from local management and another appropriate professional, (l.e., doctor, lawyer, etc.) for review. The extent of special consideration to be given will be on a case-by-case basis.
Compassionate Transfer. Approval of a request for a compassionate transfer will be for a period not to exceed six (6) months unless the Employer in consultation with the Union Representation approves an extension.
Compassionate Transfer. 20.11.01 The Company and ACPA agree upon the need for a method of dealing compassionately with Pilots who may, in exceptional circumstances, require transfer to a Base other than the Base to which they are assigned. 20.11.02 The Compassionate Transfer Review Committee (CTRC) will be composed of 2 members from Air Canada (a management representative and an Air Canada OHS doctor), and 2 members appointed by ACPA. The ACPA members will not be ACPA Pilot Assistance Representatives. The CTRC will develop and utilise a criteria test with the objective of achieving a fair, equitable and consistent system- wide adjudication process.

  • Compassionate Leave (1) An employee is entitled to take up to 2 days’ paid compassionate leave on each occasion that a member of his or her immediate family or a member of his or her household: (a) contracts or develops an illness that poses a serious threat to his or her life; or (b) sustains an injury that poses a serious threat to his or her life; or

  • Compassionate Care Leave 1. For the purposes of this article “family member” means:

  • Taking compassionate leave An Employee may take compassionate leave for a particular permissible occasion if the leave is taken: (a) to spend time with the member of the Employee’s immediate family or household who has contracted or developed the personal illness, or sustained the personal injury, referred to clause 5. 2.3.1 of this Agreement; or (b) after the death of the member of the Employee’s immediate family or household An Employee may take compassionate leave for a particular permissible occasion as (a) a continuous two (2) day period; or (b) two (2) separate periods of one (1) day each; or (c) any separate periods to which the Employee and the Employer agree. If the permissible occasion is the contraction or development of a personal illness, or the sustaining of a personal injury, the Employee may take the compassionate leave for that occasion at any time while the illness or injury persists.

  • SINGLE-USE PRODUCTS The Board of County Commissioners has established a single-use products and plastic bags policy intended to reduce the use of products which have become globally recognized as having lasting negative impacts on the environment. Neither single-use products nor plastic bags may be sold or disbursed on County property by staff or contracted vendors, except as set forth in Orange County Administrative Regulation 9.01.03. Failure to comply with the Regulation may result in termination of the contract or other contractual remedies, and may affect future contracting with the County. The use of reusable, recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable materials is encouraged.

  • Blood Donations An employee may be granted leave with pay, up to a maximum of two (2) hours, for donating blood during regularly scheduled hours of work.

  • Dependent Care Assistance Program The County offers the option of enrolling in a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The program allows employees to set aside up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) of annual salary (before taxes) per calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care (child and elder care) expenses. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Initiation of TIPS Sales When a public entity initiates a purchase with Vendor, if the Member inquires verbally or in writing whether Vendor holds a TIPS Contract, it is the duty of the Vendor to verify whether the Member is seeking a TIPS purchase. Once verified, Vendor must include the TIPS Contract Number on all purchase communications and sales documents exchanged with the TIPS Member.

  • Skilled Care in a Nursing Facility This plan covers skilled nursing services in a skilled nursing facility if: • the services are prescribed by a physician: • your condition needs skilled nursing services, skilled rehabilitation services or skilled nursing observation; • the services are provided by or supervised by licensed technical or professional medical personnel; and • the services are not custodial care, respite care, day care, or for the purpose of assisting with activities of daily living.

  • Outpatient If you receive infusion therapy services in a hospital's outpatient unit, we cover the use of the treatment room, related supplies, and solutions. For prescription drug coverage, see Section 3.27

  • Alcohol Testing Alcohol testing will be conducted by using an evidential breath-testing device (EBT) approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A screening test will be conducted first. This initial screening may be accomplished using a saliva test kit. If the result is an alcohol concentration level of less than 0.02 percent, the test is considered a negative test. If the alcohol concentration level is 0.02 percent or more, a second confirmation test using the EBT will be conducted. The procedures that will be utilized by the lab for collection and testing of the specimen are attached hereto as Appendix A.
