The instrument air system shall have adequate dryers and filters to meet OEM quality specifications. Two 100% heatless dryers with two 100% filters shall supply dry (-40°F dew point at 125 psig), oil free air for use by control systems and instrumentation. Use of compressed air supplying the instrument air distribution header (via the instrument air dryer) for such auxiliary functions as purge air (except for instruments) is discouraged. Instrument air shall be provided in the Facility's instrument/maintenance area. The station air system shall be a separate compressor and distribution system which provides air for maintenance tools and shall have valved access points at convenient maintenance around the facility. The air shall be dry and clean. Adequate instrument compressed air storage shall be provided to facilitate emergency shutdown of the plant. The instrument air receiver and piping shall provide a minimum of 3 minutes of compressed instrument air (pressure above minimum instrument requirement) for plant shutdown without instrument air compressor operation. The major components of each of the Facility's compressed air system consist of the following: Two 100% or three 50% instrument air compressors and connection for portable compressor One service air compressor – identical to the instrument air compressor. One air receiver for each system Two 100% instrument air dryer and filters for oil removal. Ability to change out compressed air dryer elements and filters on line with no plant curtailments Instrument air distribution header Station air distribution header

Compressed Air System to supply compressed air to the pneumatically operated valves, mainly consisting of: (1) Heavy duty filter, regulator and lubricator with gauge and drain (1) Pressure switch to monitor the supply line (1) Set of piping extended from the lubricator assembly to the pneumatically operated valves
Compressed Air System o Supply, install, make clean of construction debris, flush and test instrument compressed air system - from and including: the OEC units, steam turbine, , and other required areas including the necessary and pertinent pipe fittings, manual valves, control valves, drip legs, drains, quick-couplers, instrumentation, filters, dryers, structural steel supports, paint, labeling. Compressed air system includes also the installation of air compressors, air receivers, dryers and other related equipment and accessories.
Compressed Air System. Consisting of: • Two (2) air compressors (Xxxxxxxxx Xxxx) • Air dryer; • Instrument air tank; • Service air tank; • Valves to regulate the inflow of air from the TG compressor; • Measurement and control instruments and valves. Consisting of: • Grinell fire detection system; • Dedicated fire detection boards (fuel tanks, maintenance workshop and storage area, administration facilities, power transformers, HRSG auxiliary equipment facilities); • Power transformers deluge fire system valve panel. Consisting of: • Sewage wastewater electropumps; • Tank for the treatment of waste before disposal into the system of the Distillery.
Compressed Air System. The compressed air systems provides air for instrument air and service air uses. Instrument air is required for the various air-operated valves and instruments in the power plant. Service air will be distributed throughout the plant for general maintenance usage. A five minute compressed air surge storage tank will be provided. Two (2) x 50 percent capacity rotary screw air compressors will be provided to supply compressed instrument and service air for the plant. Instrument air will pass through two (2) x 100 percent capacity coalescing filters; one (1) x 100 percent capacity self regenerative dual tower desiccant type instrument air dryers with purge saver, dew point monitoring, and after filters, before it is used. The dryers and coalescing filters shall produce oil free instrument air with a dew point of (-) 40(degree)F. As a backup, CTG compressor air bleed, if used, will be cooled as required and piped into the service air system piping upstream of the air receiver, to be filtered and dried to the same conditions described above. The service air hose connections will be of the quick disconnect type where the air is ON when a hose is connected and OFF when the hose is disconnected.
Compressed Air System. Compressed air is used for starting the engines and for control and instrument air. Starting air is produced by the starting air compressor unit. Compressed air from the starting air unit is stored in starting air bottles until it is used for starting the engine. The pressure equipment is designed, manufactured and tested according to the European Union directive 97/23/EC “Pressure Equipment Directive”. The starting air system consists of the following main equipment: This information is confidential and proprietary to Wärtsilä.
