Continuing Education Credit Allowance. Horizontal movement on the Salary Schedule will be based upon the satisfactory completion of traditional or online graduate course(s) from a college or university approved by the North Central Association (NCA), National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) or a reciprocal accrediting agency. Graduate credit earned will not be recognized unless the course(s) for which the credit is earned have received prior approval by the Superintendent. Such course work shall be in the subject area of the teacher’s assignment, the District’s School Improvement Plan, National Board Certification, Teacher Certification, Teacher Certification/Endorsement, or the field of education. Upon the Superintendent’s request and/or approval, a teacher may apply non-graduate course credit(s) to move horizontally on the Salary Schedule. The non-graduate course(s) must lead to an additional teacher certification that will benefit the Districts.

Continuing Education Credit Allowance. When a teacher earns credit qualifying the employee for horizontal movement on the salary schedule, the teacher may only move horizontally one lane to the right in a given school year. If the teacher has earned credit that would normally result in moving more than one lane to the right, then the teacher will continue to move one lane to the right each year until aligned with his/her educational credit hours. Lane movement on the salary schedule will take place in September and January only. Official or unofficial transcripts and/or grade reports are due to the District office on or before September 1 and January l.   • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Education Allowance Provisions in existing Collective Agreements providing for educational allowances shall be continued in effect.

  • Meal Allowance A shift worker who works a qualifying shift of eight hours or the rostered shift, whichever is the greater, and who is required to work more than one hour beyond the end of the shift (excluding any break for a meal) shall be paid a meal allowance of $7.95, or, at the option of the employer, be provided with a meal.

  • Uniform Allowance ‌ If the Employer requires an employee to supply and/or maintain specified clothing in place of a uniform which would otherwise be supplied and maintained for jobs involving the direct care of patients/residents, then a clothing/maintenance allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) per bi-weekly pay period shall be paid. This allowance does not apply to non-patient/non-resident areas.

  • Shift Allowance In addition to the wage specified in sub-clause (1), read with sub- clause (12), a normal shift worker shall, in respect of his shift hours worked in any week, be paid an additional 12,5% on such wage.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions.   • Retirement Allowance Prior to issuing notice of layoff pursuant to article 9.08(a)(ii) in any classification(s), the Hospital will offer early-retirement allowance to a sufficient number of employees eligible for early retirement under HOOPP within the classification(s) in order of seniority, to the extent that the maximum number of employees within a classification who elect early retirement is equivalent to the number of employees within the classification(s) who would otherwise receive notice of layoff under article 9.08(a)(ii). An employee who elects an early retirement option shall receive, following completion of the last day of work, a retirement allowance of two weeks' salary for each year of service, plus a prorated amount for any additional partial year of service, to a maximum ceiling of 26 weeks' salary, and, in addition, full-time employees shall receive a single lump-sum payment equivalent to $1,000 for each year less than age 65 to a maximum of $5,000 upon retirement."

  • Education Reimbursement The County will provide education reimbursement for education costs incurred by regular employees who apply for such reimbursement in accordance with the policies and procedures governing the education reimbursement program. The maximum reimbursement shall be $1,500 per year.

  • Travel Allowance 18.01 The existing Board travel allowance shall be paid to an Occasional Teacher. This shall only apply when replacing an itinerant teacher.
