Horizontal Movement on the Salary Schedule. Horizontal movement on the salary schedule can occur twice per school year. If appropriate documentation is provided to the Treasurer's office by September 15, pay will increase effective at the beginning of the school year. If appropriate documentation is provided to the Treasurer's office by January 15, pay will increase effective with the first payroll in February.
Horizontal Movement on the Salary Schedule. If a higher level of training is achieved, mental health employees must complete, sign, and submit a Professional Growth/Horizontal Advancement Completion Form to their principals for submission to the Office of Human Resources. The day the forms and documentation are received in the Office of Human Resources will be the effective date for change following approval by the Board. (Cross reference - Policy 4880, Professional Growth). A change in the horizontal status of a mental health employee shall be subject to correction only until June 30 of the school year in which the credits were submitted. (Cross reference - Policy 4880, Professional Growth).
Horizontal Movement on the Salary Schedule. When a bargaining unit member has attained the required number of graduate credit hours and wishes to qualify for a horizontal move on the salary schedule, he/she shall request in writing to be moved to the appropriate column on the salary schedule. Supportive documentation of successful completion of graduate semester hours completed after the date of the last degree earned and/or official transcripts with degree posted must be attached to the request or be on file with the Superintendent/designee. (For example, graduate semester hours taken before the first Bachelor’s Degree is granted shall not be counted towards the B+18 step. Official transcript(s) issued from the course(s) provider(s) shall constitute supportive documentation. Requests not received over the summer months must be received on or before the end of the third (3) week of instruction for the salary adjustment to become retroactive to the first
(1) week of instruction, or be received on or before the twenty-second (22) week of instruction for the salary adjustment to become retroactive to the twentieth (20th) week of instruction. After the start of instruction, the Board will act on said requests only in the months of October and February.
Horizontal Movement on the Salary Schedule. All Residential Faculty members move horizontally on the salary schedule for each credit hour beyond the minimum entering requirement up to a maximum of eighty-five (85) semester hours, unless the member has earned a doctoral degree. To receive credit, a non-degreed Residential Faculty member must, (a) file a course of study leading to an Associate’s degree, or (b) file a listing of technical and general education courses accepted by the Department/Division Chair, Vice President of Academic Affairs, the College President, and the Faculty Professional Growth Committee. If the Administration requires additional study by the non-degreed Residential Faculty member, the salary will be adjusted accordingly. Residential Faculty members will be granted additional increments to their base salary for acceptable credit, including the doctoral degree, as indicated on the salary schedule. (See 10.2.1).
Horizontal Movement on the Salary Schedule. Employees moving from the XX xxxx to the BA+18 lane will receive a three percent (3%) increase on their prior year’s base salaries. Employees moving from the BA+18 lane to the MA/BA+40 lane will receive a seven percent (7%) increase on their base salaries. Employees moving from the MA/BA+40 lane to the MA+18 will receive a five percent (5%) increase on their base salaries. Employees moving from the MA+18 lane to the MA+36/Second MA lane will receive a five percent (5%) increase on their base salaries.
Horizontal Movement on the Salary Schedule. Credit for contact hours or college credits will be submitted to Human Resources for credit on the salary schedule. Changes in salary will be effective the day the forms and documentation were received in the Office of Human Resources. Contact hours or college credit must be accumulated in an amount that equates to advancement on the salary schedule before being submitted to Human Resources. Conversion to semester hours, as recognized on the schedule, is in accordance with the table below: One (1) semester hour = fifteen (15) contact hours One (1) CDE equivalent to a semester hour = fifteen (15) contact hours One & one-half (11/2) CEU equivalent to a semester hour = ten (10) contact hours
Horizontal Movement on the Salary Schedule. The salary schedule recognizes credit hours of work completed beyond the Bachelor's Degree and earned after the employee has been awarded the Master's Degree. Graduate credit hours need not apply toward a specific Masters Degree for the movement on the salary schedule up to the Bachelors + 36 / Masters Degree Column (Column E). For a Certified Contracted Employee to move horizontally on the salary schedule, for additional credit hours beyond the BA level, the credit hours must be presented to the Superintendent's office on an official transcript from the higher educational institution granting the credit hours by September 1 of each school year. Superintendent must approve the credits prior to granting the credit for salary schedule movement. Graduate hours, applied toward the columns beyond the Bachelors + 36 / Masters Degree Column (Column E) of the salary schedule, must be taken after the certified contracted employee has acquired the Master’s Degree. The Superintendent's office shall request each spring, on an Intent of Horizontal Movement Form, each Certified Contracted Employee's intent to move horizontally on the salary schedule for the next school year. Certified Contracted Employees, employed at least .75 FTE, shall advance one vertical step for each year of experience in the District until they have reached the last step in the salary schedule column they are placed in. Employees with an FTE under .75 will receive vertical movement at their pro-rated FTE. Vertical movement can only be one step per school year. The base salary for the 2024-2025 school year shall be Thirty-Eight Thousand Seven hundred ($38,700) for Certified Contracted Employees. Certified Contracted Employees shall be paid in twelve (12) equal payments on or before the 15th of each month. A valid certificate must be registered with the Superintendent and filed in the Central Office. Failure to meet this requirement by September 15th will result in wages being held.
