Lane Change. Teachers moving to a new lane on the salary schedule shall move to the equivalent step on their new lane and will not receive a step increment until the opening of school in the fall following the lane change.

Lane Change. Teachers earning semester credits for lane changes will have them computed to a quarter credit equivalency at the rate of 1.5 quarter credits to 1 semester credit.

Lane Change. The level of training for placement on the salary schedule shall be determined by the amount of training as of October 1 and/or February 1 and/or April 1 of each school year. Training credits filed by October 1 shall be retroactive to the beginning of that particular school year. Training credits filed by February 1 will receive credit for one-half year, and training credits filed by April 1 will receive credit for one-fourth year.
Lane Change. All college credits received before the beginning of the school term shall be applied to the contract as per schedule. Request for approval of any proposed credit courses must be presented to the administration by April 30 to be used for purposes of a lane change under the next year’s contract. A transcript of those credits must be presented to the administration by September 15. If September 15 falls on a non-school day, then the credits should be presented to the administration on the regular workday prior to that date.

Lane Change. In the event of a change in salary category due to the completion of requirements for a degree or intermediate salary lanes, the teacher in no instance shall be placed at an experience level lower than the one occupied at the time that satisfied this requirement.
Lane Change. Teachers who earn credits from an accredited college or University in education within an educational program or their curricular field will be eligible to use those obtained credits to change salary lanes (or “categories”). Salary category changes shall be made as of September 15 and/or February 15. If appropriate paperwork is received by September 15 or February 15, new salary rate of pay will begin on the first pay check after September 15 or February 15 but new salary rate will be retro to September 15 or February 15. An official college transcript of credits is required for a change in categories. In cases where coursework has been completed by the aforementioned dates but transcripts are not available, a letter of verification from the college or university of study must be received by the School District’s Human Resources Office on or before the September 15/February 15 dates. Salary changes for transcripts/verifications received after September 15 shall not go into effect until the second semester. Salary changes for transcripts/verifications received after February 15 shall not go into effect until the following school year.
