Cooling Tower. The cooling tower will circulate 1200 gpm for a demonstrated period of 60 minutes as measured by a flow meter with all plant users in cooling mode (minimal pressure drop through system). During this same period, it will demonstrate the capacity to cool water from 95 to 87 F with an ambient WBT of 85 F at full flow. This will be determined by actual measurements and determination of capacity using standard charts.
Cooling TowerSupply and Install a Cooling Tower (pad mounted) outside the production building. • Evapco USS-112-312 1200 USGPM from 95F to 85F WBT, or equivalent • Sump • Dual pumps • Flow meter • Cooling tower should have two fans and two pumps
Cooling Tower i. OC Public Works/Facilities Operation personnel will make a twice weekly check of the cooling tower water to determine the effectiveness of the treatment to control scale, algae, fungi and bacteria free operation and equipment corrosion protection, unless there is an issue which requires more frequent testing. Tests include PH, total hardness, total alkalinity, conductivity, free and total halogen and inhibitor levels. ii. Equipment and chemical protection against scale and corrosion shall contain all of the following: a) PBTC/HEDP Phosphonate (to provide anodic and cathodic mild steel corrosion protection) b) Benzotriazole or Tolyltriazole (TT or BZT) (to provide copper corrosion protection c) High Stress Polymer (to provide calcium, iron and silt control), Polymer shall be non-foaming and non-Ionic d) Fluoresced inert and active trace element (to facilitate ease of testing). Product shall not contain any molybdenum (due to the County’s desire for no heavy metal discharge) iii. Current system control limits (based on best practices and current product use): a) Conductivity: 2,200 to 2,600 mmhos b) Cycles (Tower to City): 4.5 to 6.0
Cooling Tower. If any one of the chiller types is water cooled, then a cooling tower will appear in the diagram. Click on the tower to define its properties. One of the properties is the number of cells. When you close the cooling tower form, the number of cells changes on the diagram. All cells are assumed to be the same. When you define the tower properties, including size, you are specifying information for a single cell. ▪ Pumps. Both chilled water and hot water supply pumps are specified by clicking on the pump icons. The information entered is for the secondary chilled water pumps only (the pumps that circulate water through the building coils). The primary pumps are specified when you define the chiller. The hot water pumps, on the other hand, should include the pressure drops (head) through the boilers and associated piping as well as the building coils. ▪ Electric Chiller Types. Click on a chiller to define its properties.
Cooling Tower. MSLP will provide Company use of the cooling tower at the Xxxxx Facilities as needed. In the event Company’s use of the cooling tower increases substantially from its use as of the Effective Date, MSLP shall determine in good faith the actual cost of Company’s use of the cooling tower each month and Company shall reimburse MSLP the full amount of such costs.
