Cost Responsibility and Billing. The Applicant is responsible for the application fee and for such facilities, equipment, modifications, and upgrades identified under the process prescribed in the Commission’s rules, ARSD chapter 20:10:36.

i. Interconnection of 199 kilowatts or less: Interconnection of 199 kW or less to the existing electric distribution system, including but not limited to changing meters, fuses or relay settings, are deemed “Minor Modifications” and shall be listed in Attachment A by the PUD with a non-binding, good faith estimate of their cost. The PUD shall have sole discretion to decide what constitutes a Minor Modification. The Customer shall bear the costs of making such Minor Modifications as may be necessary for the interconnection in the PUD’s sole discretion.
ii. Interconnection of 200 kilowatts or greater: For interconnections 200 kW or greater, PUD shall identify any “Substantial Modifications” to the electric distribution system in Attachment A. Attachment A includes those facilities and conditions (as may be identified by a facilities study if one is required) necessary for the Net Metering Facility to safely interconnect with PUD’s electric distribution system, and shall include a non-binding good faith estimate of the cost of those facilities and the estimated time required to build and install them. The Customer shall be responsible for the actual installed costs of such facilities even if the actual installed cost exceeds the good faith estimate.
b. Progress billing, final billing and payment schedules for any costs described herein shall be agreed to in writing by the Parties prior to the PUD commencing any work under this Agreement.
c. Interconnections of 200 kilowatts or greater may be subject to additional fees from the serving balancing authority or under PUD’s rate schedules as modified from time to time.
