Court on Weekly Leave. A member, who has been instructed to appear in court on weekly leave shall, at City expense, telephone the Sergeant on duty in his Division between the hours of 18:00 and 22:00 on the day immediately preceding the scheduled court appearance, to confirm whether his attendance at court is required. If the member receives notification of cancellation of the scheduled court appearance before 22:00 hours on the day immediately preceding the scheduled appearance the member shall receive no compensation. If the member receives notification of cancellation of the scheduled court appearance after 22:00 hours on the day immediately preceding the schedule appearance the member shall be entitled to receive four (4) hours at time and one-half times (1.5x) the regular hourly rate, in pay or time off, for said cancellation.
