Crew Meals. 1. Crew meals will be provided to Flight Attendants working a Transoceanic International (TI) flight. Such meals will be the same as those provided to the Pilots working the flight. 2. Crew meals will be provided when the flight time (block hours) is scheduled to exceed eight (8) hours. The meals will be appropriately selected for the time of day relative to the length of the duty period.
Crew Meals. 1. The Company recognizes the need to address nutritional requirements during the duty day. To the extent practicable, the Company will accomplish this by constructing schedules in a manner that will provide adequate breaks with access to eating facilities. The Company will meet periodically with the Union to determine if such needs are being addressed. 2. If Pilots on the same pairing are given a Company-provided crew meal, the Flight Attendants will be given one as well. If Pilots and Flight Attendants are not co-paired Flight Attendants will be provided crew meals according to the same parameters as Pilots.

For a Flight Assignment with eight (8) hours of continuous Duty or more without an intermediate stop of at least one hour and thirty minutes (1:30) at a location that has an accessible eating facility, or two hours and thirty minutes (2:30) at an airport where ground transportation to an eating facility is not available, the Company shall provide a meal on board a Company Aircraft that is appropriate to the time of Day. For the purposes of this subsection, intra-Hawaii and intra-Alaska Flying shall not be considered applicable to this subsection.

Consequently, when the standards concerning meal quality, quantity and/or variety shall be considered lacking or deteriorating, the Company commits to rectify the situation within thirty (30) days of reception of the written complaint by the meal committee.

A Flight Attendant who is not provided with at least a forty-five minute (:45) break within each six (6) hours of duty, commencing with the first scheduled departure time in a duty period and ending with the last arrival in that duty period will get a crew meal. The Company will attempt not to schedule aircraft swaps during meal breaks. A Flight Attendant who is required to submit to a drug or alcohol test or attend a company investigative meeting during such qualifying break (i.e., 45 minutes or more) will still be provided sufficient time to eat. 2. In instances where a Flight Attendant determines that an unscheduled crew meal is necessary, she/he will contact Flight Control. They will either provide the crew meal or a break. 3. At stations where passengers are bused to/from the aircraft, such break must be at least one hour and twenty minutes (1:20). 4. The quality of the meals shall be monitored by the Company and the Union. The crew meals shall be nutritious, fresh and to the degree possible, appropriate for the time of day. 5. The Company shall attempt to arrange for hotels to provide a continental breakfast for a Flight Attendant who departs from the hotel before breakfast is available. 6. Flight Attendants shall not be disciplined for eating in front of passengers.
