Deductions for Absence. 1. In the event that a teacher absence not covered or not allowed in the express language of other provisions of this Agreement is approved, a deduction of salary in minimum units of one-half day may be made for each day of absence. Absences not approved may result in disciplinary action. 2. No deductions will be made for any period of the school year in which the Board closes schools because of an epidemic, flood, fire, or inclement weather; however, it is to be understood that any such days may be required by the Board to be made up without additional compensation and at such times as determined by the Board.
