Definitions Employee. For the purposes of this plan an Employee is one who is either full-time non-union or unionized and covered by a contractual union agreement which includes the Income Protection Plan and who has completed his/her probationary period.

Short Term Disability: This is defined as a period of disability resulting from illness/non-occupational injury as determined by a qualified medical practitioner, which prevents an Employee from attending his/her regular work and which extends for a period of not more than twenty-six (26) weeks. Long Term Disability: This is defined as a period of disability resulting from illness/non-occupational injury as determined by a qualified medical practitioner, which prevents an Employee from attending work and which extends for a period of more than twenty-six (26) weeks. Pay: For the purposes of this Plan, a week’s pay for hourly paid Employees shall be the basic hours worked per week multiplied by the Employee’s standard rate per hour paid on a weekly basis, but shall not include any shift premium, overtime, or other increments. SECTION B
Definitions Employee. An employee is defined as an individual who performs services for, and under the direction and control of the City. Such direction and control includes the results to be accomplished and the methods and means by which such results are accomplished. As such, neither contracting firms nor contract workers who are characterized by the City as independent contractors are considered employees. Non-union Employee An employee who is not represented by a bargaining unit. Recognized Schools Academic institutions that are accredited by regional or state accrediting bodies, or other institutions, such as correspondence schools or unique specialty schools approved at the discretion of management.
Definitions Employee. Unless otherwise indicated the term “employee,” when used hereinafter in this agreement shall refer to all employees in the appropriate unit as defined above. Temporary employees will be limited to ninety (90) calendar days of employment and will not be subject to Union membership as a condition of employment. Upon the return of the regular employee the long-term sub shall be returned to their original position. Students attending Havre Public Schools may be employed on a part-time or temporary basis without becoming Union members. Students who have graduated from high school may work only until September 30th following graduation under the classification of student. Days, when used in this Contract, means calendar days unless otherwise specified.
