Dental Professionals. This section shall only apply to any person employed in a position of Dentist (Item No. 4763), Senior Dentist (Item No. 4766) or Dental Specialist (Item No. 4767):

Dental Professionals. Management agrees to the establishment of a professional committee made up of unit members. The number of committee members shall be determined by mutual agreement of the Management of the affected departments and the Union. The committee shall meet no more than three times each fiscal year. The employees may use two hours of County time for each meeting and employees will seek prior permission from there supervisors to attend. The Director of Health Services or his designee shall attend a meeting of the Professional Committee upon invitation from that committee.
Dental Professionals. Each Dentist, Senior Dentist, and Dental Specialist shall be allowed up to a maximum of sixty (60) hours of County time per year for the purpose of meeting mandatory continuing education requirements. Each Dental Hygienist shall be allowed up to a maximum of twenty (20) hours of County time per year for the purpose of meeting mandatory continuing education requirements. Management will allow permanent part-time Dentists, Senior Dentists and Dental Specialists who work at least 16 hours per week but less than forty (40) hours per week on a continuing basis up to a maximum of sixteen (16) hours of County time per year for the purpose of meeting mandatory continuing education requirements during the term of the MOU. Management will allow permanent part-time Dental Hygienists who work at least sixteen
Dental Professionals. Any person appointed to the position of Dentist, Senior Dentist, or Dental Specialist, who has obtained certification by the American Dental Association, the American Board of General Dentistry, or a nationally recognized Dental Board (approved by the Department) in the specialty to which he/she is assigned, shall receive a 2% bonus. The Board Certification Bonus will become effective the first pay period following written proof by the employee, in the form of an official copy of the certification received, being submitted to the departmental Human Resources Office. Bonus pay shall be effective so long as the board certification remain active and/or the employee’s assignment in aid specialty continue. Should an employee’s certification become inactive and/or should the employee no longer be assigned to said specialty, the bonus pay shall cease effective the last date of active status and/or the last date of specialty assignment. Compensation pursuant to this section shall not constitute a base rate.
Dental Professionals. User understands and agrees that access to the BeamReaders technical and professional services (the “Services”) is only available to dental professionals. Usage of the BeamReaders technology by patients is specifically prohibited and is in violation of this Agreement.

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.

  • Specialists Persons working within a juridical person who possess uncommon knowledge essential to the commercial presence’s production, research equipment, techniques or management. In assessing such knowledge, account will be taken not only of knowledge specific to the commercial presence, but also of whether the person has a high level of qualification referring to a type of work or trade requiring specific technical knowledge, including membership of an accredited profession.

  • Professional Dress In as much as teachers are role models for students, each teacher shall maintain a neat, professional appearance appropriate for his/her specific teaching assignment.

  • Continuing Professional Development The Official Agency shall provide appropriate training for staff performing official controls, enabling them to undertake their duties competently and to carry out official controls in a consistent manner, as per legislative requirements. The Official Agency shall identify training needs for staff performing official controls and ensure that staff carrying out official controls are kept up to date in their area of competence and develop specialised expertise, in partnership with the Authority and other Local Authorities. While the provision of training is the primary responsibility of the Official Agency, the Authority may provide training interventions where the Official Agency has highlighted areas where training is required. The Authority will endeavour to facilitate networking and collaboration with other Official Agencies to assist in improving knowledge in such areas. The Authority will provide e-learning resources and training for official control staff so as to promote a consistent understanding and application of new legislation, guidance or procedures, as appropriate. The Official Agency shall support participants in using e-learning resources, disseminating knowledge or skills acquired and encourage the application of learning gained through the Authority’s training in official control activities. The Official Agency shall ensure that contractors used in the performance of the Service Contract provide evidence of Continuous Professional Development and Compliance with this section. Where staff from the Official Agency need to travel outside the Official Agency functional area to attend training courses/meetings, this shall be facilitated by the Official Agency. The Official Agency in partnership with the Authority shall develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in the performance of the Service Contract. Where staff have participated in Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) the training content shall be disseminated to relevant staff/contractors in the Official Agency and other local authorities in partnership with the Authority.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:

  • Contract for Professional Services of Physicians Optometrists, and Registered Nurses In accordance with Senate Bill 799, Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., if Texas Government Code, Section 2254.008(a)(2) is applicable to this Contract, Contractor affirms that it possesses the necessary occupational licenses and experience.

  • Outside Professional Activities The President/Superintendent may undertake outside professional activities, including consulting, speaking, and writing provided these activities do not interfere with the President/Superintendent’s duties.
