Dental Professionals. This section shall only apply to any person employed in a position of Dentist (Item No. 4763), Senior Dentist (Item No. 4766) or Dental Specialist (Item No. 4767):
Dental Professionals. Management agrees to the establishment of a professional committee made up of unit members. The number of committee members shall be determined by mutual agreement of the Management of the affected departments and the Union. The committee shall meet no more than three times each fiscal year. The employees may use two hours of County time for each meeting and employees will seek prior permission from there supervisors to attend. The Director of Health Services or his designee shall attend a meeting of the Professional Committee upon invitation from that committee.
Dental Professionals. Each Dentist, Senior Dentist, and Dental Specialist shall be allowed up to a maximum of sixty (60) hours of County time per year for the purpose of meeting mandatory continuing education requirements. Each Dental Hygienist shall be allowed up to a maximum of twenty (20) hours of County time per year for the purpose of meeting mandatory continuing education requirements. Management will allow permanent part-time Dentists, Senior Dentists and Dental Specialists who work at least 16 hours per week but less than forty (40) hours per week on a continuing basis up to a maximum of sixteen (16) hours of County time per year for the purpose of meeting mandatory continuing education requirements during the term of the MOU. Management will allow permanent part-time Dental Hygienists who work at least sixteen
Dental Professionals. Any person appointed to the position of Dentist, Senior Dentist, or Dental Specialist, who has obtained certification by the American Dental Association, the American Board of General Dentistry, or a nationally recognized Dental Board (approved by the Department) in the specialty to which he/she is assigned, shall receive a 2% bonus. The Board Certification Bonus will become effective the first pay period following written proof by the employee, in the form of an official copy of the certification received, being submitted to the departmental Human Resources Office. Bonus pay shall be effective so long as the board certification remain active and/or the employee’s assignment in aid specialty continue. Should an employee’s certification become inactive and/or should the employee no longer be assigned to said specialty, the bonus pay shall cease effective the last date of active status and/or the last date of specialty assignment. Compensation pursuant to this section shall not constitute a base rate.
Dental Professionals. User understands and agrees that access to the BeamReaders technical and professional services (the “Services”) is only available to dental professionals. Usage of the BeamReaders technology by patients is specifically prohibited and is in violation of this Agreement.

  • Agent Professionals Agent may perform its duties through agents and employees. Agent may consult with and employ Agent Professionals, and shall be entitled to act upon, and shall be fully protected in any action taken in good faith reliance upon, any advice given by an Agent Professional. Agent shall not be responsible for the negligence or misconduct of any agents, employees or Agent Professionals selected by it with reasonable care.

  • Contract for Professional Services of Physicians, Optometrists, and Registered Nurses In accordance with Senate Bill 799, Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., if Texas Government Code, Section 2254.008(a)(2) is applicable to this Contract, Contractor affirms that it possesses the necessary occupational licenses and experience.

  • Professionals For projects involving installation or construction services, the Grantee agrees that only licensed professionals will be used to perform services under this Grant Agreement where such services are called for and licensed professionals are required for those services under State law.

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year. 23.1.2 The College agrees to provide the Association with the authority to administer the program on behalf of the College for those activities approved by the College in accordance with 23.2, 23.4 and 23.5. 23.1.3 Nothing in this Agreement prevents the College from funding professional development activities in addition to those activities supported through the Professional Development Funds (23.1.1) in accordance with the procedures described in this Article.

  • HEALTH CARE PLANS ‌ Notwithstanding the references to the Pacific Blue Cross Plans in this article, the parties agree that Employers, who are not currently providing benefits under the Pacific Blue Cross Plans may continue to provide the benefits through another carrier providing that the overall level of benefits is comparable to the level of benefits under the Pacific Blue Cross Plans.

  • Specialists Persons working within a juridical person who possess uncommon knowledge essential to the commercial presence’s production, research equipment, techniques or management. In assessing such knowledge, account will be taken not only of knowledge specific to the commercial presence, but also of whether the person has a high level of qualification referring to a type of work or trade requiring specific technical knowledge, including membership of an accredited profession.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the following organizations: Nebraska Council of School Administrators (NCSA), The School Superintendents Association (AASA), and any other membership dues requested by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.

  • Outside Professional Activities 21.01 Outside professional activities may enhance the reputation of the University and the professional, scholarly and scientific competence of the ASM. ASMs are encouraged to involve themselves with the community outside the University in applying their professional skills and knowledge. This Article applies only to outside professional activities that involve the application of special skills and knowledge within the ASM's particular academic competence. An ASM may engage in such activities subject to the following conditions: (a) Such activities shall not hinder the fulfillment of the ASM’s obligations to the University, including scholarly work, and the undertaking of a fair share of academic administration. (b) Outside professional activities shall not require the commitment of a block of time which might interfere with the ASM’s normal timetable for teaching activities. 21.02 An ASM shall, upon written request, make available to his or her Administrative Head information on the nature and scope of paid outside professional activities. 21.03 When outside professional activities would involve the use of University supplies, facilities, employees, or services, such use shall be subject to the prior written approval of the Administrative Head. The request for approval shall include information on the nature and scope of the outside professional activities for which support is requested. If approval is granted, the charges for such equipment, supplies, facilities, employees or services shall be at the prevailing rates unless the Xxxxxxx & Vice-President (Academic) agrees, in writing, to waive all or part of the charges. When engaging in outside professional activities, the ASM shall ensure that he or she does not represent himself or herself as acting on behalf of the University. The University will assume no liability for any action brought against an ASM as a result of outside professional activities. 21.04 The name of the University shall not be used in any outside professional activity unless agreed, in writing, by the Xxxxxxx & Vice-President (Academic), although nothing shall prevent the ASM from stating the nature and place of his or her employment, rank and title, in connection with outside professional activities, provided that he or she shall not purport to represent the University or speak for it, or to have its approval unless that approval has been given in writing. 21.05 The provisions of this Article shall apply to ASM-CFEs mutatis mutandis.
