Department Notification. 1. Unit employees who are absent from work due to illness or injury shall promptly notify their supervisor or department head daily of this fact, in advance. Each department may have further requirements regarding the reporting of absences from work due to illness or injury. This may include requiring the employee to provide proof of illness or injury to Employee Health Services, based on the sick leave policies of the City.
