Sales Promotions In addition to decreasing prices for the balance of the Contract term due to a change in market conditions, the Contractor may conduct sales promotions involving price reductions for a specified lesser period. The Contractor must submit documentation identifying the proposed: (1) starting and ending dates of the promotion, (2) commodities or contractual services involved, and (3) promotional prices compared to then-authorized prices.
Promotions A. A promotion is defined as moving from any teaching position to one listed on the administrative and supervisory responsibility scale.
B. All vacancies in promotional positions shall be filled on the following basis:
1. Whenever a vacancy arises or is anticipated, the Superintendent shall cause a notice to be posted in each school setting forth a description of and the qualifications for the position, including duties and salary range. Promotional vacancies shall be advertised throughout the year, including summer months, on the FCPS web site. In addition, the Superintendent will post a list of such vacancies in each school, with a copy of said notice being transmitted to the Association.
2. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, such notices shall be posted fifteen (15) days prior to the filing date when applications must be submitted. If notification is less than fifteen (15) days, the Association shall be notified.
3. Teachers who decide to apply for such vacancies shall submit their applications in writing to the Superintendent or authorized representative. The time limit specified in the notice shall be adhered to unless there are extenuating circumstances.
4. When a vacancy occurs, a promotion committee may be appointed by the Superintendent consisting of five (5) professional educators who are familiar with the duties and responsibilities associated with the position to be filled. Two (2) members of the committee may be classroom teachers. The committee shall have advisory status and shall recommend to the Superintendent one (1) or more candidates.
5. Vacancies shall be filled on the basis of experience, competency and other qualifications of the applicant. Ordinarily, preference shall be given to present teachers. Inquiries may be directed to other school systems when it is deemed advisable in the best interest of the Xxxxxxxxx County school system. The successful applicant shall meet the certification requirements established by the state board of education for the position, or shall fulfill such requirements within one (1) year.
6. The availability of leadership positions in other counties shall be made known in the same manner as set forth in paragraph 1 whenever possible.
C. No teachers shall be denied the opportunity to apply for selection to participate in seminars or workshops sponsored by the Board for potential administrators and supervisors.
Sales Promotion Promote and use its reasonable endeavours to increase sales of the Supplier/ Principal ATOL holder's Travel Arrangements to existing and potential clients;
Promotion A promotion shall mean the transfer of an employee to a higher level position of more responsibility as well as salary.
Marketing Rights Neither the Company nor any of its Subsidiaries have granted rights to license, market, or sell its products or services to any other Person and is not bound by any agreement that affects the Company’s (or any Subsidiary’s) exclusive right to develop, distribute, market or sell its products or services.
Investment Promotion 1. Each Contracting Party shall promote investments in its territory by investors of the other Contracting Party and admit such investments in accordance with its legislation.
2. In particular, each Contracting Party shall permit the conclusion and the carrying out of licensing agreements and contracts for commercial, administrative or technical assistance, in so far as these activities were related to investments.
Direct Sales The Manager will advise you promptly, on the Offering Date, as to the Securities purchased by you pursuant to the Underwriting Agreement that you will retain for direct sale. At any time prior to the termination of the applicable AAU, any such Securities that are held by the Manager for sale but not sold may, on your request and at the Manager’s discretion, be released to you for direct sale, and Securities so released to you will no longer be deemed held for sale by the Manager. You may allow, and Dealers may reallow, a discount on sales to Dealers in an amount not in excess of the Reallowance set forth in the applicable AAU. You may not purchase Securities from, or sell Securities to, any other Underwriter or Dealer at any discount or concession other than the Reallowance, except with the prior consent of the Manager.
Temporary Promotions In cases of prolonged absence from duty, vacancy of an approved position, or other emergencies, the appointing authority with the consent of the Director of Human Resources or designee may, in writing, temporarily promote a Regular Hire employee when such employee is regularly required to substantially perform the full duties of a budgeted position within a higher classification for a period in excess of ten (10) days. In such cases, the employee shall be paid for all hours in paid status at the rate on the salary range of the higher classification that is closest to, but not less than five percent (5%) above his or her base hourly rate in the classification in which he/she holds regular status at the time he/she is temporarily promoted. All increases shall be rounded to the nearest whole percentage using regular rounding rules. In no event shall an employee in a temporary promotion receive more than the top step of the higher classification into which the employee is temporarily promoted. If the full time status of the classification into which the employee temporarily promotes is different from the classification in which he/she holds regular status (e.g., an employee in a classification that is 37.5 hours full time per week temporarily promotes to a classification that is 40 hours per week full time, or vice versa), the employee will continue to work the scheduled hours of his/her Regular Hire classification. An employee’s eligibility for overtime and leave accrual shall be pursuant to his/her regular classification. An employee must meet the minimum qualifications for the job class to which he/she is being temporarily promoted and must have completed the first six (6) months of his or her initial probationary period with the County. Medical Procedures 21.01 The Board shall distribute a copy of its Operating Procedures for administration of prescribed medication to pupils in schools and Procedures for health support services to each Teacher.
21.02 In accordance with Operating Procedure Special Education Services 8, a Teacher may refuse without prejudice a request to administer medications except in life-threatening situations.
Activities Except with the prior written consent of the Board, Executive will not during his employment with the Company undertake or engage in any other employment, occupation or business enterprise, other than ones in which Executive is a passive investor. Executive may engage in civic and not-for-profit activities so long as such activities do not materially interfere with the performance of his duties hereunder.
