Discipline, Suspension, Discharge Procedure. 1. An employee may be disciplined, suspended or discharged only for just cause. When an employee is disciplined, suspended or discharged he shall be given the reason in the presence of his xxxxxxx, or any member of the Executive available. Such employee and the Union shall be advised promptly in writing by the Employer of the reason for such discipline, suspension or discharge.

Discipline, Suspension, Discharge Procedure. The authority to suspend, discharge or otherwise discipline an employee rests with management. An employee who has successfully completed the probationary period may be disciplined, suspended or discharged, but only for just cause. Where the Employer intends to interview an employee for disciplinary purposes, the Employer shall notify the employee in advance of the purpose of the interview. The Employer shall also notify the employee of their right to have a Union Xxxxxxx present at the interview. Such employee and the Union shall be advised in writing by the Employer within three (3) working days of the reason for such discipline, suspension or disciplinary discharge. The parties understand that the purpose for the attendance of the xxxxxxx at the disciplinary meeting is to advise and support the employee. The Union will make every effort to make themselves available in a timely manner.

If the conduct or performance of an employee warrants disciplinary action, such action shall be confirmed in writing.
