Dismissal or Suspension Grievance. (a) In the case of a dispute arising from an faculty member's dismissal, rejection of probation, suspension greater than 20 days or suspension for just cause pending investigation, the grievance may be filed directly at arbitration, within 30 days of the date on which the dismissal, rejection on probation, or suspension occurred, or within 30 days of the faculty member receiving such notice. (b) In the case of a dispute arising from other suspension, the grievance may commence at Step 3 of the grievance procedure within thirty (30) calendar days of the date on which the suspension occurred, or within thirty (30) calendar days of the faculty member receiving notice of suspension.
