Duration of Layoff. The Employer shall make every effort to recall laid off employees; however, a layoff period extending beyond 12 months shall constitute termination of employment with no severance pay payable.

Duration of Layoff. 1. The duration of layoff is a period equivalent to the Employee’s length of service up to a maximum of 12 months.
Duration of Layoff. Recall for bargaining unit members will be five hundred forty-seven calendar days – i.e., eighteen (18) calendar months – or the length of their contract from the date of suspension. The timeframe for recall rights for tenured bargaining unit members shall be pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code. The recall shall be called for if a vacancy exists or if a new position is created for which the bargaining unit member holds certification at the time of recall and in accordance with the positions as described by the respective seniority lists. Recall shall be determined by the bargaining unit member’s performance on evaluations. Where the bargaining unit members’ evaluations are comparable, as defined in Article 6.0803, recall shall be determined by seniority. No bargaining unit member shall have recall rights after a merger/consolidation with the Lake County Educational Service Center.

  • Duration of Leave An eligible female employee may apply for pregnancy leave, to commence after the 22nd week of pregnancy for a duration of up to 17 weeks. The pregnancy leave of an employee who is not entitled to take parental leave ends on the later of the day that is seventeen weeks after the pregnancy leave began or the day that is six weeks after the birth, still-birth or miscarriage.

  • Notification of Layoff A bargaining unit member to be laid off shall be notified, in writing, at least fifteen (15) work days prior to the effective date of layoff, except that when emergency funding situations exist, this notification period can be shortened. The notification shall include:

Unless such notice is given, failure to return to work upon expiration of the leave may be considered resignation from service.

  • Termination of Leave Interruption of pregnancy will terminate the leave. Human Resources may require in such cases forty-five (45) days notice to return.

  • Extension of Leaves Employees who are entitled to leave pursuant to Articles 20.1 and 20.2 shall be entitled to an extended leave of up to an additional six (6) months for health reasons where a doctor's certificate is presented. Such written request must be received by the Employer at least four weeks prior to the expiration of leave taken pursuant to Article 20.1 and 20.2.

  • Operation of Lift 3.1 The mode of operation of the passenger/materials lift shall be at the discretion of Management, but there shall be landings at intervals of not more than four (4) storey levels. Subject to sub-clause 3.3, an employee would not be required to walk either up or down more than two (2) floors within the range of the lift, or more than four (4) floors within the range of the lift.
