Early Admission. Early Admission is a form of Dual Enrollment through which eligible students may enroll on a full-time basis in courses that are creditable toward the high school diploma and the associate or baccalaureate degree. Students who wish to participate in Early Admission must submit a completed undergraduate admissions application, including any supporting documentation or test scores required by the University. Applications for Early Admission are considered in the same manner as other “First Time in College” student admissions decisions.

Early Admission. A form of dual enrollment that allows eligible students to complete their first full year of college an entire year early, allowing students to gain the full Lakehawk experience and participate in college programs like any other student. Early Admission students take a full-time college course load between 12-18 credit hours. The stipulations of the Early Admission program are covered under this agreement. Unless stated otherwise in Section 16, all policies that apply to Dual Enrollment also apply to Early Admission.

One credit laboratory courses do not count towards the twelve credit hours or four course requirement. The Board and College recommend students enroll in five courses. Early admission students remain eligible to participate in all extracurricular and graduation activities at their high school of attendance in accordance with School Board rules.

Have a high school record of good attendance, appropriate conduct, and responsible behavior. 5. Submit the EFSC Early Admission Application in accordance with published directions. 6. Must have completed all required courses for high school graduation, except for 1.0 high school credit each in English, Science (elective), Social Studies (elective), and Math. 7. Complete any additional requirements established by the College. Early admission students are expected to complete sufficient credits to meet high school graduation requirements and achieve an EFSC term GPA of at least 2.0. Early admiss ion students who are injeopardy of earning sufficient credits to graduate or do not maintain an overall EFSC fall term GPA of at least 2.0 may not continue in Early Admission the following semester. These students, however, may participate in part-time dual enrollment provided they meet dual enrollment eligibility criteria. Upon completion of their senior year in early admission, students are no longer eligible for dual enrollment regardless of their graduation status.
Early Admission. Early Admission (EA) shall be a form of dual enrollment through which eligible secondary students enroll in a single post-secondary institution full-time (12 minimum to 18 maximum credit hours) in courses that are creditable toward the high school diploma and associate and/or baccalaureate degree. Students must maintain full-time enrollment (12 credit hours) to continue their Early Admission status. Students seeking enrollment under Early Admission status must meet all eligibility requirements for dual enrollment listed within this document and meet PBSC or FAU Early Admission requirements. Unlike dual enrolled students, early admission students may enroll in one or two credit hour courses if required by the post-secondary institution. If accepted for early admission at FAU, the student enters FAU instead of attending high school for the senior year and will spend the fall and spring semesters full time at FAU. Students are not permitted to begin early admission at FAU in the spring semester.

Early Admission. (full-time post-secondary dual enrollment): Early Admission is defined as being enrolled in a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis (12 minimum to 18 maximum credit hours) in the Fall and/or Spring term of the student's senior year or an approved degree-seeking pathway program approved by the Office of Admissions. For PBSC, Early Admission eligibility requires that students achieve a 3.2 unweighted cumulative high school grade point average and achieve the minimum required scores for college readiness on the ACT, SAT, ACCUPLACER, PERT, or PSAT. For FAU, Early Admission eligibility requires that students achieve a 3.8 weighted cumulative high school grade point average and an SAT of 1290 or an ACT of 27. For early admission, students must maintain a 2.0 term grade point average in college-level work. See PBSC and FAU Early Admissions websites for other criteria.

Early Admission. Early admission is a form of dual enrollment on the FIU campus(es). This type of dual enrollment allows eligible high school ascending Seniors to enroll at FIU on a full-time basis in courses that are creditable toward high school diplomas and college coursework. The two (2) semesters of college coursework are substituted for the Senior year of high school. A student must enroll in a minimum of 12 college credit hours per semester to participate in the early admission program; however, a student may not be required to enroll in more than 15 college credit hours per semester. Students enrolled pursuant to this subsection are exempt from the payment of registration, tuition, and laboratory fees. Eligibility criteria will be communicated by SBBC to prospective full-time dual enrollment students, including unweighted high school GPA of 3.5 and college readiness test score requirements; school principals, counselors, parent/guardians will need to authorize enrollment in FIU’s full-time, early admission dual enrollment program.
