Educational Leave for Non-Attorneys a. PEF shall provide, with the approval of the President of PEF or his or her designee, short-term educational leaves which would consist of workshops, conferences or concentrated courses. Such leaves may be either requested by the employee or required by PEF. b. Educational leave shall be a leave with full pay with PEF reimbursing said employee for payment of books and tuition, in accordance with paragraphs A (1) (Staff Development and Training) above or A (3) (Tuition Reimbursement) below whichever applies, and transportation, room and board. c. Applications must be made to the President of PEF or his/her designee through the employee’s immediate supervisor, and must include the supervisor’s recommendation to approve or deny, at least three (3) weeks prior to the beginning of the educational opportunity, unless otherwise approved. d. PEF shall grant at least one (1) week notice to employees required to attend such overnight workshops, conferences or concentrated courses unless there is no objection from the employee.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • PRIVATE BUSINESS/GENERAL/PERSONAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE 12.1. In consultation with the principal and with two (2) weeks notice where possible, a teacher shall be granted two (2) days personal leave per school year, except where circumstances put such a leave in conflict with the interests of the school.   • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:

  • Paid Educational Leave a. An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.
