EFFECTIVE DATE AND DURATION OF THE AGREEMENT. The Agreement will come into effect from the day following its registration at the Paris DDTE and at the registry of the Paris Conseil de Prud’hommes (Employment Inspectorate). The Agreement is signed for a period of three (3) years, being from 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2009, and may not be renewed by tacit agreement. 1. The pilot project will begin 30 days after the ratification of the collective bargaining agreement and last for one year. At the conclusion of the project, the parties agree to evaluate the voluntary float pilot system and consider in good faith, an extension of this MOU.
2. The parties will meet at least once a month during the pilot project to discuss concerns and to assess the efficacy of the pilot project.
3. On a voluntary basis in lieu of low census, ATH nurses may agree to float to ASH. Nurses who float to ASH will receive all of their required compensation under the WSNA-ATH CBA, plus a float premium of $4 per hour for all time spent floating. If the nurse agrees to float after reporting to ATH, travel time will be paid.
4. ATH nurses will be reimbursed for mileage at a flat rate for the 36-mile round trip between hospitals at the current IRS rate.
5. All the terms and conditions of the WSNA-ATH CBA shall apply to ATH nurses while floating to ASH.
6. If a ATH nurse is offered the option to float to ASH in lieu of low census, the nurse must also be offered the ability to float to another unit within ATH, if available.
7. ATH nurses will not be required to float more than once per shift.
