Effective Sept. 1/93 The Board agrees to continue separate pay scales for child and youth workers, and health care assistants, who were hired on or before February The Board shall keep these pay scales until December The child and youth worker and health care assistant jobs shall be re-evaluated prior to December using the same process and job evaluation system as for pay equity. The Board will be deemed to have met its obligations under clause if a general review of job classifications is undertaken as part of pay equity maintenance or as a result of new legislation. When the pay scales referred to in clause end on December the remaining incumbents shall be paid the appropriate rate according to the Collective Agreement in effect on January 1996; however, the Board shall not implement this clause until it has met its obligations under clause In such case, the pay scales referred to in clause shall continue until Board has mat its obligations under clause An employee who works less than a full week shall have the salary prorated accordingly. Each employee will be permitted a minute rest period in each half day of the scheduled hours of work to be taken at times scheduled by the principal.
