In Lieu of Benefits. 13.2.1 Unit members who work full time (1.0 FTE) may elect compensation in lieu of medical benefits once per year during the Open Enrollment Period.

In Lieu of Benefits. 39.01 Employees will receive an additional ten percent (10%) per hour paid in lieu of benefits. These benefits include but are not limited to the following: Life Insurance, Major Medical, Vision Care, Dental Plan and Paid Holiday (the lieu day, if worked) uniform allowance, and sick credits. Clarification Note: Employees will continue to receive vacation pay and pension in addition to the percent in lieu.
In Lieu of Benefits. Part-time employees shall receive a premium of twelve percent (12%) of the regular hourly rate for each hour worked, in lieu of all benefits not specifically extended.

All full time employees who are deemed ineligible by the insurer to receive benefit coverage, as well as all part time employees, shall receive in lieu of insurance benefits of seventy cents ($0.70) in addition to their regularly hourly rate for each hour worked as compensation for the lack of this benefit.

In Lieu of Benefits. Part-time employees who are not regularly scheduled to work or do not regularly work more than twenty-five (25) hours per week for Schedule "A", "B", and "D" (inside employees) and thirty (30) hours per week for Schedule "B", "D", and "E" (outside employees) shall be paid a premium of eleven percent (11%) effective January 1st, 2009 in consideration for statutory holiday pay, insured benefits and shift premiums. Vacation benefits shall be paid in accordance with the Provincial Employment Standards Act; however, after ten (10) years of service, vacation pay shall be eight percent (8%) of gross pay. Vacation pay shall be paid on each pay cheque. The maximum consecutive days off for unpaid vacation time is twenty-one (21) calendar days, to be calculated from the last shift worked.
In Lieu of Benefits. For Employees regularly scheduled hours biweekly or less: Part-time employees who did not choose “status quo” (see Appendix will receive twenty cents ($0.20) per hour in lieu of Extended Health Coverage (Semi-private (if any); Hearing; Vision; Drugs and other extended health benefits), Dental Coverage, and Weekly Indemnity Coverage. The Employer will pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums towards a flat rate life insurance of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) for each part time employee who has completed probation to replace existing life insurance coverage, if any. Part-time employees who are post probation would accumulate sick time on the basis of hours for every hours worked to a maximum of hours. Employees will not be allowed to use more than hours sick time in any calendar year. Sick banks will carry over from year to year but shall not exceed hours. Effective July part-time employees, upon completion of ninety (90) calendar days of employment, will receive forty cents ($0.40) per hour in lieu of Extended Health Coverage (Semi-private, if any), Hearing, Vision, Drugs and other Extended Health benefits), Dental Plan, Sick Leave and Weekly Indemnity Coverage. The Employer will pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premium toward a flat rate life insurance of thousand dollars ($15,000).
In Lieu of Benefits. 21.01 In lieu of providing premium based benefits, the Employer will pay employees a premium, based on hours worked. Effective March 1, 2014, fifty-one cents (51¢) per hour Effective March 1, 2015, fifty-four cents (54¢) per hour Effective March 1, 2016, fifty-six cents (56¢) per hour The premium is payable once the employee has completed the probationary period.
In Lieu of Benefits. All employees not receiving benefits under Article 29.1 shall receive sixteen percent (16%) cash settlement in lieu of such benefits provided under Article 29.
