EMERGENCY/CALL BACK HOURS. Any employee who is called back to work before or after a normal work shift without a prior notice of at least twenty-four (24) hours shall be entitled to emergency/call back compensation. Such compensation shall be computed at two (2) times the normal hourly rate for each employee for actual time worked. Actual time worked shall be computed to the next one-quarter (¼) hour. Employees shall be compensated for a minimum of one (1) hour of emergency/call back pay for each occurrence. The work shift shall be identified by time record. Compensation for assigned, scheduled overtime with notice of twenty-four (24) hours, or any overtime acquired on a volunteer basis, shall be Computed at one and one- half (1 ½) the normal hourly rate. The person arranging the work must actually talk to the employee.

Any call for service received prior to end of the work shift that extends work beyond the normal work shift shall be compensated at one and one-half (1 ½) the normal hourly rate.

  • Emergency Calls IP Phones need an additional power supply to operate. In the event of a power failure it is your responsibility to ensure you have the means to make emergency calls. In accordance with paragraph 13.2, we will not be liable for any loss or damage (financial or otherwise) where you fail to do so.

  • Emergency Call-In When an employee is called in to perform unanticipated extra work, and the work is not an extension of his normal workday, he shall be compensated for the hours worked.   • Emergency/Declared Disaster Requirements In the event of an emergency or if Orange County is declared a disaster area by the County, state or federal government, this Contract may be subjected to unusual usage. The Contractor shall service the County during such an emergency or declared disaster under the same terms and conditions that apply during non-emergency/disaster conditions. The pricing quoted by the Contractor shall apply to serving the County’s needs regardless of the circumstances. If the Contractor is unable to supply the goods/services under the terms of the Contract, then the Contractor shall provide proof of such disruption and a copy of the invoice for the goods/services from the Contractor’s supplier(s). Additional profit margin as a result of supplying goods/services during an emergency or a declared disaster shall not be permitted. In the event of an emergency or declared disaster, emergency purchase order numbers will be assigned. All applicable invoices from the Contractor shall show both the emergency purchase order number and the Contract number.

  • Emergency Closure Where there is a temporary closure as a result of an immediate emergency or a planned temporary closure due to renovations, repairs, or moves, the Employer will: a) First offer to the affected employees the choice of taking either a vacation day or an unpaid leave of absence with no loss of seniority or benefits; thereafter, at the Employer's discretion, one of the following: b) Reassign staff to another location; c) Reschedule the lost hours within two (2) pay periods; or d) Decide not to do either (b) or (c), in which case employees shall still be paid for their regularly scheduled hours which they did not work as a result of the temporary layoff.

  • Emergency Conditions “Emergency Condition” shall mean a condition or situation: (1) that in the judgment of the Party making the claim is imminently likely to endanger life or property; or (2) that, in the case of the Transmission Provider, is imminently likely (as determined in a non-discriminatory manner) to cause a material adverse effect on the security of, or damage to the Transmission System, the Transmission Owner’s Interconnection Facilities or the Transmission Systems of others to which the Transmission System is directly connected; or (3) that, in the case of the Interconnection Customer, is imminently likely (as determined in a non-discriminatory manner) to cause a material adverse effect on the security of, or damage to, the Small Generating Facility or the Interconnection Customer’s Interconnection Facilities. Under Emergency Conditions, the Transmission Owner may immediately suspend interconnection service and temporarily disconnect the Small Generating Facility. The Transmission Provider shall notify the Interconnection Customer promptly when it becomes aware of an Emergency Condition that may reasonably be expected to affect the Interconnection Customer’s operation of the Small Generating Facility. The Interconnection Customer shall notify the Transmission Provider promptly when it becomes aware of an Emergency Condition that may reasonably be expected to affect the Transmission Owner’s Transmission System or other Affected Systems. To the extent information is known, the notification shall describe the Emergency Condition, the extent of the damage or deficiency, the expected effect on the operation of both Parties’ facilities and operations, its anticipated duration, and the necessary corrective action.

  • Emergency Service Leave Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from Provincial Emergency Programs or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay. If any remuneration, other than for expenses, is received, it shall be remitted to the Employer.

  • Emergency Thresholds The following matrix presents the emergency thresholds that, if reached by any of the services mentioned above for a TLD, would cause the emergency transition of the Registry for the TLD as specified in Section 2.13 of this Agreement.   • Under-Frequency and Over Frequency Conditions The New York State Transmission System is designed to automatically activate a load- shed program as required by the NPCC in the event of an under-frequency system disturbance. Developer shall implement under-frequency and over-frequency relay set points for the Large Generating Facility as required by the NPCC to ensure “ride through” capability of the New York State Transmission System. Large Generating Facility response to frequency deviations of predetermined magnitudes, both under-frequency and over-frequency deviations, shall be studied and coordinated with the NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner in accordance with Good Utility Practice. The term “ride through” as used herein shall mean the ability of a Generating Facility to stay connected to and synchronized with the New York State Transmission System during system disturbances within a range of under-frequency and over-frequency conditions, in accordance with Good Utility Practice and with NPCC Regional Reliability Reference Directory # 12, or its successor.
