Employer and I. U.P.A. agree that public interest requires efficient and uninterrupted performance of Employer's operations and services and to this end pledge their best effort to avoid or eliminate any conduct contrary to this objective. Disciplinary action, including discharge, may be taken by Employer against any employee or employees engaged in a strike or other illegal activity related to a work stoppage.

Employer and I. U.P.A. agree that the above statement of management rights is for illustrative purposes only, and is not to be construed or interpreted so as to exclude those prerogatives not mentioned which are inherent to management, including those prerogatives granted by law. It is the intention of the parties that the rights, powers, authority and functions of management shall remain exclusively vested in Employer, except insofar as expressly and specifically surrendered or limited by the express provision of this Agreement.

The Employer agrees to provide the name, worksite phone number, and location of the new employee's xxxxxxx in the letter of hiring. Whenever the xxxxxxx is employed in the same work area as the new employee, the employee's immediate supervisor will introduce her to her xxxxxxx. The Employer agrees that a Union xxxxxxx will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for thirty (30) minutes sometime during the first thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the employee's responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.

  • Employers 6.1.1 Every employer shall within one month from the date on which this Agreement comes into operation, if he has not already done so pursuant to any previous agreement, and every employer entering the Industry after that date shall within one month of commencement of operations by him, forward to the General Secretary of the Council a completed registration form in the form specified by the Council from time to time and a registration fee as prescribed in Addendum 1 of this Agreement. Note: This registration form is obtainable from the Council.

  • Employer Rules The Employer may establish reasonable work rules necessary to regulate employees’ conduct at work. Work rules shall be reviewed with new employees, conspicuously posted and made available to all employees. The Employer may require new employees to sign a form provided by that Employer to confirm their understanding of the work rules. The Employer will advise the Union of any proposed changes to the work rules thirty (30) days in advance. If the rule is a mandatory subject of bargaining, the Union reserves the right to demand to bargain.

  • RIGHTS OF EMPLOYER Any rights of the Employer which are not specifically mentioned in this Agreement and which are not contrary to its terms shall continue in full force and effect for the duration of this Agreement, always provided that such rights shall be exercised fairly, reasonably and in good faith.

  • Employer Union Relations 7.1 Representation at Meetings with the Employer No employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without the proper authorization of the Union. To implement this, the Union shall supply the Employer with the names of its officers and, similarly, the Employer shall supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business.

  • Categories of Employment 2.3.1 Full-time A full-time employee is an employee who is employed for 37.5 or 40 hours per week.
