Employer Economic Development Grants. (a) For and in consideration of Xxxxxxxxx's and Employer’s obligations hereunder, and in furtherance of the goals and objectives of the Urban Renewal Plan for the Project Area and the Urban Renewal Law, City agrees, subject to Developer and Employer being and remaining in compliance with the terms of this Agreement, to make twenty (20) consecutive semi-annual payments (such payments being referred to collectively as the Employer Economic Development Grants) to Employer, as follows: November 1, 2025 May 1, 2026 November 1, 2026 May 1, 2027 November 1, 2027 May 1, 2028 November 1, 2028 May 1, 2029 November 1, 2029 May 1, 2030 November 1, 2030 May 1, 2031 November 1, 2031 May 1, 2032 November 1, 2032 May 1, 2033 November 1, 2033 May 1, 2034 November 1, 2034 May 1, 2035 pursuant to Iowa Code Section 403.9 of the Urban Renewal Law, in amounts equal to the actual amount of tax increment revenues collected by City under Iowa Code Section 403.19 (without regard to any averaging that may otherwise be utilized under Iowa Code Section 403.19 and excluding any interest that may accrue thereon prior to payment to Employer) during the preceding six (6) month period in respect of the Property and Minimum Improvements constructed by Developer (the Developer Tax Increments). City, Developer, and Employer agree that for purposes of this Section 3.1(1), the assessed value of the Property as of January 1, 2022 is $46,500. Employer recognizes and agrees that the Employer Economic Development Grants shall be paid solely and only from the incremental taxes collected by City in respect to the Property and Minimum Improvements, which does not include property taxes collected for the payment of bonds and interest of each taxing district, and taxes for the regular and voter-approved physical plant and equipment levy, instructional support levy, and any other portion required to be excluded by Iowa law, and thus such incremental taxes will not include all amounts paid by Developer as regular property taxes. (b) To fund the Employer Economic Development Grants, City shall certify to the County prior to December 1 of each year, commencing December 1, 2024, its request for the available Developer Tax Increments resulting from the assessments imposed by the County as of January 1 of that year, to be collected by City as taxes are paid during the following fiscal year and which shall thereafter be disbursed to Employer on November 1 and May 1 of that fiscal year.   • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Employer policies and available resources. 9.2 Attendance at employer-required training will be considered time worked. The Employer will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during an employee’s regular work shift. The Employer will pay the registration and associated travel costs in accordance with Article 23, Travel, for employer-required training.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers. 2. Regular review of its job-related and career development and training programs will be made by the State in order to provide suitable programs for employees covered by this Agreement. When undertaking any such review, the State shall notify employees of such review and take into account suggestions and proposals made by employees. 3. Employees shall be given a reasonable notice of applicable, development and training programs available. Such notice shall include an explanation of the procedure for applying for the program. Notices of development and training programs shall be posted for reasonable periods in advance on bulletin boards at applicable work locations within the agencies involved. An appointing authority shall make every effort to permit employees' participation in such career development and training programs. Participation in any training inside or outside of work hours which is required by the State as a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the employee's job, or any in-service State training which is conducted or undertaken during normally scheduled work hours will be considered as time worked. 4. The State shall pay tuition, course-related fees, other approved course required costs and for necessary travel and lodging pursuant to established policies and procedures.

  • Staff Development Leave (a) An employee will be granted leave without loss of pay, at their basic rate of pay, to take courses (including related examinations) or attend conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops, symposiums or similar out-of-service programs, at the request of the Employer. The amount of pay received by an employee will not exceed the full-time daily hours of work as outlined in Clause 14.2 (Hours of Work). When such leave is granted, the Employer will bear the full cost, including tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-related books. The Employer will also reimburse the employee for approved travelling, subsistence, and other legitimate, applicable expenses. (b) An employee may be granted leave without pay, with pay, or leave with partial pay, to take work related courses in which the employee wishes to enrol to acquire the skills necessary to enhance opportunities. (c) Approval of requests will be given reasonable consideration and leaves pursuant to this article will be administered in a reasonable manner. (d) Should the employee noted above terminate their employment for any reason during the six month period following completion of the above-noted leave, the employee will reimburse the Employer for all expenses incurred by the Employer (i.e. tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-required books) on a proportionate basis.

  • Career Development The City and the Union agree that employee career growth can be beneficial to both the City and the affected employee. As such, consistent with training needs identified by the City and the financial resources appropriated therefore by the City, the City shall provide educational and training opportunities for employee career growth. Each employee shall be responsible for utilizing those training and educational opportunities made available by the City or other institutions for the self- development effort needed to achieve personal career goals.

  • Multi-year Planning Targets Schedule A may reflect an allocation for the first Funding Year of this Agreement as well as planning targets for up to two additional years, consistent with the term of this Agreement. In such an event, the HSP acknowledges that if it is provided with planning targets, these targets: a. are targets only, b. are provided solely for the purposes of planning, c. are subject to confirmation, and d. may be changed at the discretion of the Funder in consultation with the HSP. The HSP will proactively manage the risks associated with multi-year planning and the potential changes to the planning targets; and the Funder agrees that it will communicate any changes to the planning targets as soon as reasonably possible.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Program Development NWESD agrees that priority in the development of new applications services by XXXXX shall be in accordance with the expressed direction of the XXXXX Board of Directors operating under their bylaws.

  • Performance Indicators The HSP’s delivery of the Services will be measured by the following Indicators, Targets and where applicable Performance Standards.   • In-Service Programs The parties to this collective agreement recognize the value of in-service education both to the employee and the Employer. A) The Employer reserves the right to identify specific in-service programs deemed compulsory. B) Employees required to attend such programs will be paid at the applicable rate of pay.
