EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. 1. All teachers appointed by the Board to the teaching staff of the District shall be appointed on a continuing contract of employment, except for: temporary appointments or probationary appointments made in accordance with and subject to the provisions of this Agreement; and Teachers Teaching on Call subject to the provisions of Article B.2 (Teacher Teaching on Call Pay and Benefits) and D.21 (Teacher Teaching on Call Working Conditions).
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. 1. Every appointment made by the Board, except for appointments of temporary and teachers teaching on call, all subject to the provisions of this Agreement, shall be deemed to be a continuing contract until the contract has been terminated, the teacher has been dismissed or ceases to be a member of the Teacher Regulation Branch.
2. Teachers with continuing contracts shall be entitled to retain their continuing contracts when reassigned to any teaching position in the District through the Posting and Filling and Transfer processes. A continuing contract teacher, who applies for and is awarded a term position, shall vacate that position at the end of the specified term. That teacher must then apply for posted positions pursuant to the provisions of Article C.25.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. (L)
a. temporary appointments made when it is known that the position is available for not less than thirty (30) working days and more than one (1) school year;
b. probationary appointments made subject to the provisions of this agreement; and
c. teacher-teaching-on-call appointments made when it is known that the position is available for less than thirty (30) working days.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. C.22.1 All teachers appointed by the Board to the teaching staff of the district shall be appointed to a continuing contract of employment, except for temporary appointments made in accordance with the following provisions:
a. to replace a teacher on continuing contract who is absent or on leave for any reason, or
b. replace a teacher on a temporary appointment, or
c. fill a position that is temporarily created for program reasons for one school year or less, or fill a position that is temporarily created for enrollment fluctuations for less than one school year, or
d. fill a position that has been vacated by a teacher during the school year, or
e. Teachers-Teaching-On-Call as provided for in Article C.27.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. 1. All teachers appointed by the Board to the teaching staff of the Board shall be appointed on a continuing contract of employment, except for:
a. Temporary appointments for a stated term to:
i. Replace a teacher on continuing contract who is absent or on leave for any reason, or
ii. Replace a teacher on temporary appointment, or
iii. Fill a position that is temporarily created for program reasons or enrollment fluctuations of a duration of less than one (1) school year, or
iv. Fill a position that has been vacated by a teacher during the school year; and/or
v. Fill an adult education position in accordance with Article E.25.
b. Teachers Teaching on Call, subject to the provisions of this Agreement.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. All teachers appointed by the Board to the teaching staff of the district shall be appointed on a continuing contract of employment, except for:
a. temporary appointments, subject to the provisions of Article C.23 (Temporary Appointments);
b. probationary appointments subject to the provisions of Article C.21 (Dismissal and Discipline);
c. long-term assignments subject to the provisions of Article D.31 (Long Term Teacher-Teaching-on-Call Assignments); and
d. Teachers-Teaching-on-Call, subject to the provisions of this agreement.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. 1. All employees who are hired to the district, except for teachers teaching on call or temporary contract employees, shall be granted a continuing contract of employment.
2. Temporary contract employees will be granted a continuing contract of employment when they become eligible, in accordance with Article C.25.
3. A continuing contract employee relinquishes their continuing contract status when they are the successful applicant for a temporary contract position. They will become a temporary contract employee and have the rights of a temporary contract employee in accordance with Article C.25. These employees will retain all accumulated seniority and sick leave credits.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. 1. Teachers appointed by the Board, shall be deemed to be on continuing contract except for the following:
a. teachers appointed to a temporary contract, subject to the provisions of the Agreement;
b. TTOCs, subject to the provisions of the Agreement.
2. Teachers appointed by the Board to a continuing contract shall be deemed to be on continuing contract until:
a. the teacher has been dismissed, subject to the provisions of the Agreement;
b. the contract has been terminated, subject to the provisions of the Agreement;
c. the teacher ceases to be a member of the Teacher Regulation Branch.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. 1. All teachers appointed by the Employer to the teaching staff of the district shall be appointed on a continuing contract of employment, except for:
a. temporary appointments which will be used to fill positions which are temporarily vacant or temporarily existing; and
b. Teachers-on-Call subject to the provisions of this Agreement.
EMPLOYMENT ON CONTINUING CONTRACT. All employees appointed by the Board to the staff of the district shall be appointed on a continuing contract of employment, except for
a. temporary appointments who will be used to fill positions which are temporarily vacant or temporarily existing;
b. employees on call, subject to the provisions of this agreement; and
c. Summer/Night School teachers.
