Evening and Weekend Commitments. It is expected that employees will attend these evening commitments: Graduation, Back-to-School Night, Open House, and Parent Orientation(s). In addition, Bacich teachers will attend the annual parent concert for the students in the grade level they teach. Employees may be required to attend other events which are professionally desirable to maintain a successful educational program and of necessity are scheduled in the evening. Any such requirement will depend on the employee's individual assignment, subject to the provisions below. When a question is raised about an on-going event which is scheduled during the evening or weekend or when a new event is proposed which might be scheduled during the evening or weekend, the Association or District may request that the administrators and KTA Executive Council review the activity and determine whether the activity will be considered (1) a duty that is professionally desirable to maintain a successful educational program, (2) a fundraising/public relations event, or (3) extraordinary service. This meeting will be held prior to the event and with sufficient notice to staff members. When possible, when a new event is planned it will be proposed at least two months prior to the proposed date and the meeting to discuss the event will occur at least one month ahead of the proposed date. A list of evening and weekend activities and their previous designation shall be maintained and updated annually, by October 1, by the Superintendent or designee and the Association President, and will be included as Appendix H to the Contract. This list shall provide a guideline in determining the status of new or reconsidered events.

  • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.

  • Lunch and Break Periods 280. At the request of the Union or the City, City departments will meet and confer regarding the scheduling of break and lunch periods for unit members. Existing departmental practices with respect to break and lunch periods shall continue unless modified after the conclusion of the meet and confer process. Rotating Days Off

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.

  • SHIFT AND WEEKEND PREMIUMS 39.1 An employee working on shifts shall be paid a shift premium of two dollars ($2.00) per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, between 16:00 and 08:00. The shift premium will not be paid for hours worked between 08:00 and 16:00.

  • Lunch and Rest Periods A. Each employee working more than four (4) hours per day shall be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour duty free lunch period without pay.

  • Employee Facilities Employee Facilities. Restrooms and attendant facilities shall be provided as required in the orders and regulations of the State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries. A good faith effort will be made by the Employer to provide facilities for employees’ personal belongings.

  • CLEC OUTAGE For a problem limited to one CLEC (or a building with multiple CLECs), BellSouth has several options available for restoring service quickly. For those CLECs that have agreements with other CLECs, BellSouth can immediately start directing traffic to a provisional CLEC for completion. This alternative is dependent upon BellSouth having concurrence from the affected CLECs. Whether or not the affected CLECs have requested a traffic transfer to another CLEC will not impact BellSouth's resolve to re-establish traffic to the original destination as quickly as possible.

  • Provisioning Line Splitting and Splitter Space 3.8.1 The Data LEC, Voice CLEC or BellSouth may provide the splitter. When EZ Phone or its authorized agent owns the splitter, Line Splitting requires the following: a non-designed analog Loop from the serving wire center to the NID at the End User’s location; a collocation cross connection connecting the Loop to the collocation space; a second collocation cross connection from the collocation space connected to a voice port; the high frequency spectrum line activation, and a splitter. The Loop and port cannot be a Loop and port combination (i.e. UNE-P), but must be individual stand-alone Network Elements. When BellSouth owns the splitter, Line Splitting requires the following: a non designed analog Loop from the serving wire center to the NID at the End User’s location with CFA and splitter port assignments, and a collocation cross connection from the collocation space connected to a voice port.
