Extended Shift. Meal reimbursement shall be provided for an employee who works In excess of three (3) hours prior to or past the normal expiration time of the shift and for each four (4) hour time period following normal expiration of regularly scheduled shift worked thereafter.
Extended Shift. An employee scheduled to work on a holiday who works beyond his regular shift shall be entitled to holiday pay comparable to the total hours worked.
Extended Shift. When Fire Fighters are required to work beyond their normal scheduled hours, they shall be paid overtime at time and one-half (1½) for all overtime worked. In these situations payment shall be made for fifteen (15) minute increments.
Extended Shift. Employees ordered by the Chief of Police or his/her designee to extend their shift will be compensated at two (2) hours in addition to time worked. Said two (2) hours are to be compensated at straight time.
Extended Shift. When an Employee is scheduled to work an extended shift, the provisions of section 0704, 0707, and 0708 apply. If an Employee is working an extended shift of more than eight hours a day the Employer agrees, upon request, to have a discussion with the Employee prior to assigning such work for more than six consecutive days. The BMTC recognizes there may be unique circumstances when a discussion may be precluded under the provisions of 5 CFR 610.121. When Employees are assigned to extended shifts, the Employer will consider an Employee’s request for a non-paid 30 minute lunch break at the end of the first eight hours, and may assist the Employee in making appropriate arrangements for food to be available at the Employee’s expense. The Employer will give careful consideration to any reasons the Employee might offer for being relieved from the assignment. Upon request, Transportation Incentive Program (TIP) participants will receive an application for an extended shift parking pass from their supervisor.
