Family/Parental Leave a) Upon the birth of the employee’s child, or in order to make final arrangements to adopt a child, or to place a child in xxxxxx care with the employee, an employee, upon verbal request, shall be granted one (1) day of leave without loss of pay. Upon return to duty, the employee must submit the appropriate leave request form.

Family/Parental Leave. House Officers who have been employed full time by the Hospital for at least one (1) year will be given up to twelve (12) weeks of family/parental leave, if such leave is necessary due to an illness of the House Officer, or to tend to the illness of a spouse, parent or child of the House Officer.   • Parental Leave (a) An employee who becomes a parent, and who has been employed for at least thirteen (13) weeks immediately preceding the date of the birth of child or the date the child first came into care or custody of the employee, shall be entitled to parental leave.

  • Parental Leaves Parental leave of absence without pay shall be granted to biological or adoptive parents who request such a leave as provided below. ASF Members who intend to use parental leave according to the provisions of this section should notify the President/designee as soon as it is practical. The leave shall commence on the date requested by the ASF Member, and shall continue for a period up to nine (9) months.   • Maternity Leave/Parental Leave Adoption Leave (Effective for maternity and/or parental leaves that commenced before May 1, 2019)

  • Pregnancy/Parental Leave Pregnancy/Parental Leave will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act as amended from time to time.

  • Family Care Leave In accordance with RCW 49.12 and WAC 296-130, employees shall be allowed to use any or all of their choice of sick leave or other paid time off to care for a family member (as defined above) who has a serious health condition or an emergency condition. Employees shall not be disciplined or otherwise discriminated against because of their exercise of these rights.

  • Parental and Family Leave ‌ Parental leave shall be granted in accordance with state law. Family leave shall be granted in accordance with federal law. Faculty members may request an unpaid leave of absence for infant care and bonding purposes.
